That fight's gonna last about two panels. And one of those will be Buu making smartass remarks.
Ah, and then time for Bra to mutilate Eleim.

I think that they're going to do the special chapter AFTER we see Bardock's fate. It's only a couple more pages.

My predictions: either Bardock will just die/lose (there's two pages left, he can't turn this curbstomp into a victory that fast) or Goku will knock the ball back at Cold, incapacitating him.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I also don't really like the specials, but between that and the comic going on full break during that time, we might as well have specials. And yes, without specials, it would go on break.

What? Why? There's only two pages left in this current chapter. I have no reason to believe that they won't be released this Wednesday and Friday, they didn't say that the special would start right now, only soon.

Just wanted to clarify things. The publication order will be:
- the rest of this chapter (pages 809 and 810)
- the first chapter of the story of universe 8 by Dr Bird. By the way he uploaded one page that was supposed to be a part of this chapter but finally did not make it into it. Also instead of some pages on Mondays Salagir may upload a minicomic.
- the second chapter of the story of universe 8 - also by Dr Bird
- the flashback chapter detailing the remaining fights we missed - u4!Buu vs u9!Tenshinhan and u16!Bra vs u19!Eleim - by the so hated Taopaipai
- back to the main story - u3! Raichi vs u13!Vegeta - by Asura (the cartoonist of the present chapter)

Hey Zigsti! Are you Salagir himself, or an assistant of his?

I just want a Universe 19 one since those guys are approaching Time Lord territory in terms of tech if that's what's needed to defeat King Cold.

I actually didn't mind the specials, they're expanding the lore a bit, and it is a comic buffer; I am grateful that we don't get breaks. I just wished that some of the chapters were more about information than filler. What was the point of a chapter of Cell murdering everyone in his chapter? followed by Bojack murdering everyone next special chapter? How about some world building, like Cell having destroyed the Universe and now has nothing to do for all eternity until the Vargas show, or in Bojack's chapter how he deals with Babidi going to Earth behind his back to summon Buu, and having that play out. Better yet, a special on Kat's gang, and why they weren't put in U15's place. The Future Majin Attack should have been better written, it's awful. That needs a rewrite.

At this point I would like to see the Human Special and the Helior Special, and the special that explains how U13 Vegeta got SSJ2. You don't get access to the power by training alone, or Bardock would have got it by now. Also, a special on how the Vargas went to the evil controlled universes and convince Freeza, the Androids, etc, not to destroy them. Right now, I'm predicting U11's eventual special. Either it will be U11 Z Fighters doing worst than Future Gohan could against Babidi somehow  Or it's a universe where Future Gohan loses to Babidi.

The U8 special could be good if they do more than just have Freeza kill everyone. What I'd like to see is the change being that Krillin does kill Vegeta on Earth and then show the consequences of that decision. Without Vegeta holding Freeza's attention and killing off the stronger guys, Krillin and Gohan would be up shit's creek. Maybe they could take down Dodoria but I don't know about Zarbon. And without Vegeta there to steal Freeza's Dragon Balls, Piccolo's resurrection and subsequent fusion with Nail would be in jeopardy. And who knows if Dende would even survive long enough to summon Porunga. Plus, if Goku doesn't have his heart to heart with a dying Vegeta and then see Krillin die in the circumstances he did, he may not transform at all. There's a lot more that can happen here beyond "everyone dies."

1. How, in the name of everything that's holy, did you manage to mangle my username THAT much? All you had to do was copy-paste it...
2. Salagir is a user here - he goes by the nick Salagir2 (Salagir also but he forgot the password to this account so he created another one).
3. I'm not really an assistant. I translate DBM into Polish. That gives me some additional insight - but I get most of my info from the fact that I can read many different languages so I can gather interesting stuff from English, French, Italian and many other sites.

If by "the Human Special" you mean u9 then you picked the precise three worlds that don't have their special chapters:
Also what makes you think that u13!Vegeta can become a SSJ2? The only time we see him transform is on page 6. And there are no sparks there to talk about.

Page 743, When Buu tried to take over. U13 Vegeta has sparks.

I like that Vegeta's calm while standing and watching SSJ3 Goku putting up a barrier around them to protect themselves from Bardock inside Cold's pinball attack since he knew Goku's going to do that.

Why go SS3? Overkill much?

Anyway, next page: either the ball hits Cold, incapacitating him, Bardock just dies, or Cold gets disqualified. Or some combination of the three.

Goku needed SSJ3? :eh:

SSj2 or MAYBE SSJ one might have been enough. Though the attack could have strong stability until it hits the ground or an object.

I agree SSJ 3 was a bit much( I don't even care for power). The next page is either what you said. Or somehow Bardock escapes and win this fight with an attack that injuries Cold like his vision said. Hopefully not........

Full power SS1 alone would have been overkill. Unless Cold and Bardock are as wanked as me and Saiga were speculating they were a few pages back, which seems to be the case...

Also weird how Goku is the one to react while no one else does anything, even Gohan, who logically should have been able to react faster and easier.

Considering that the technique (going by Freeza's version) seems to be very explosive, and since Goku knows that or is at least assuming that, and since he wants to protect everyone (not just himself) by completely rendering the technique harmless, Goku probably just didn't want to risk anything and so he used his full power. His SSJ2 would probably be more than enough, but I mean, why not use his full power?

I agree with this.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Cause you don't need to waste energy and time on something you can protect everyone he wanted to protect(Guessing he want everyone protected) in SSJ or maybe SSj2. More like he used SSj3 to make it cooler. Which I agree it does.
