Could someone deal with me?: DB 2008 Special DVD

Post by kei17 » Thu Jan 15, 2009 9:14 am

Hi all. I am living in Japan and I'm going to buy the upcoming DVD of DB new special (2 at leaset). I know that many people here are tyring to get the DVD in some way, but it'll be very hard for people in other countries to get it. So, I decided to give the DVD to someone who has the will to deal with me.

I am a DB dub collector and I've already collected many dubs in the world. However, there is a lot of DB dub aren't released on any media yet, like DBZ Ocean Dub. So I will give the DVDs to people who can provide me some recorded VHSs or DVDs of rare DB dubs in the following list. Especially, I would like ones include openings and endings.
If you don't want to "give" me, just lend it to me. I'll send it back to you after I take a copy of it.

Dragon Ball:

Harmony Gold Dub
Blue Water Dub
Harmony Gold Dub-Based Latin American Spanish Dub (Zero y el dragón)
Philippine English Dub
Arabic Dub
Lithuanian Dub

Episodes especially I want: 28, 30, 87

Dragon Ball Z:

Ocean Dub (Android Saga ~ Buu Saga)
Korean Dub (SBS Version)
Philippine English Dub
Tagalog Dub
Lithuanian Dub
Danish Dub

Episodes especially I want: 61, 120, 139, 184 (124, 169 in Ocean Dub)

Dragon Ball GT:

Blue Water Dub
Lithuanian Dub

Episodes especially I want: 1, 64

Movies & TV specials:

Harmony Gold Dub
Harmony Gold Dub-Based Latin American Spanish Dub
Edited Ocean Dub (Tree of Might)
AB Groupe English Dub (Unreleased ones)
North European DVD (Includes English Dub)

[Edit: Other things (not rare but I want):

French Dub (Recorded VHS, not official releases)
Dubs exist in Spain (Recorded VHS, not official releases)]

And any other dubs you think that's rare

Edit:I already got many offers from people, and the remained DVDs are now about 1 to 2.

Do you have the AB Groupe French English dub that came out in the UK? If so I have the only three DVDs that came out of it, which are DBZ movies 2, 3 and 4, I'm not sure if they're rare though...

Sorry, I've got them and you can still buy them at some online stores.
I mean, they're not rare enough.

No dealing with MONEY like a normal person, eh? =p

Too bad I have nothing of value to your dub-based economy, then. ^_^

Yes, I receive neither dollar nor euro.
1 dub = 1 DVD in my economic block

I have the Ocean dub taped from TV from just before the Cell Games to after the end of the 25th Tenka'ichi Budokai, so I have episode 184 (or 169, if you will).

Please take them... I beg you...

Oh, that's great. Are they recorded in NTSC, or PAL format?

Edit: In addition, are they in stereo sound?

They're PAL.

Not sure about the stereo; there's a chance they could be mono, but I'm 70% sure they're stereo.

I prefer NTSC, but that's still okay.
Well, please send me an email if you really make a deal with me.

The closest thing to interesting that I have was a couple Saiyan Saga episodes taped off telemundo. But I am pretty sure those are quite available.

I'll e-mail you as soon as I've checked the content my tapes actually contain, just in case there's anything missing or worth noting.

I know you're all jealous. ;)

Yeah, those are available even on YouTube but quite interesting.
Do you have any VHS more?

French Dub (Recorded VHS, not official releases)
Got loads upon loads of this.
What is the channel?
I have something dubbed by Harmony Gold, but I don't remember what anymore.
So is that 'something' releated to DB?
I have DBZ movies 1-9, Bardock and Trunks specials.
That's awesome!

Not Dragon Ball, but here's the first episode of Doctor Slump dubbed in English by Harmony Gold, it's also not a physical tape, but I thought you'd want to see this at least.

Part 1
Part 2

I'd have to look for the VCD, I *might* be able to find it...
The french dub's got recordings from both TF1 and TMC, and a belgium channel.
The Harmony Gold dub is a Dragonball movie or an episode... I really don't remember anymore.
Do you have a list of your dub stuff? I'm a dbz dub collector myself ^^
Maybe we could trade for more than just this dvd :)

I have a few episodes of the Black Star saga of GT [Blue Water] recorded off YTV, sadly, I can't find the tapes that had episode one or 64 (I made sure to record this one). I especially liked the effort in episode 64, it wasn't weird like FUNi's. But, hey a Japanese song playing out of no where isn't weird at all to me...

Nah, I don't really have anything interesting. My collection is quite large, but nothing in it is that hard to get.

What episodes of the Korean dub are you looking for? Is it only "61, 120, 139, 184"?

You wouldn't want original VHS releases of the Japanese movies would you?

Didn't someone say they had recorded the UK movie 1? Don't quote me on it, but...
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
