Several actions on the wiki are restricted to user accounts that have existed for a certain amount of time and which have made a certain number of edits. Users who meet these requirements are considered part of the pseudo-group, "autoconfirmed".
Autoconfirmed users have the following privileges, in addition to a normal user's privileges:
- Can edit semi-protected pages
- Can create and edit their userpage
- Can create and edit articles
- Can move articles and files
- Can upload files
These restrictions have been put in place for new wiki users to ensure they become more familiar with the wiki's general operation, policies, and guidelines prior to extensively contributing.
