Console Games
A video game console is a modified computer system that is used in conjunction with a display device (a television, monitor, etc.) to display the video game. The term "video game console" is used to distinguish a machine designed for consumers to buy and use solely for playing video games from a personal computer, which has many other functions, or arcade machines, which are designed for businesses that buy them and then charge others to play. Handheld Games
A handheld game console is a lightweight, portable electronic device with a built-in screen, games controls and speakers. Handheld game consoles are run on machines of small size allowing people to carry them and play them at any time or place. Arcade Games
An arcade video game is a cabinet that houses a game's circuit board, built-in screen, game controls, and speakers. Unlike console games, which utilize cartridges and discs to play multiple games, an arcade game plays only the one game that is stored on the circuit board.
