Planet Sharts is a fictional celestial body that appears in the Dragon Ball franchise, one of an unknown number of planets under Freeza's control in Universe 7. The planet was initiually conquered by the Saiyan trio of Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta. It is first seen in episode 104 of the Dragon Ball Z television series, which originally aired 21 August 1991 on Fuji TV.
Name
The planet "Sharts" likely takes its name from the Japanese approximation of the English word "shirts" (シャツ shatsu) and elongating the vowel sound (シャーツ shātsu). As such, some kind of alteration from the English word "shirts" as-is makes sense for a translation/adaptation of the name. In this case, the long vowel mark (called a chōonpu) extending the preceding vowel sound is typically adapted back to English as an "-ar" or "-er" sound, leading us at Kanzenshuu to decide on "Sharts" for a spelling.
Steven J. Simmons uses "Shatts" as a spelling in the official English subtitle translation for FUNimation's DVDs of the Dragon Ball Z television series.
FUNimation's English dub of the Dragon Ball Z series uses "Shik" as a name change (as directly seen in the subtitle / closed caption track associated with the English dub specifically), first appearing in the company's dub of the episode on the "Frieza - Fall of a Tyrant" VHS/DVD release. This name change/misspelling is often itself further misspelled as "Shikk" in other documentation sources online.

General Overview
At some point prior to the destruction of Planet Vegeta in Age 737 or Age 739[a], the Saiyan trio of Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta arrive at and fully conquer the Planet Sharts.[1] They are able to take over the planet in three days' time, which at least Nappa considers to be a significant feat.[1] Vegeta explains this to Freeza, noting that the inhabitants gave them a little trouble.[1] Freeza seems less than impressed, and questions Zarbon on what his estimated timeline for a solo conquer of this tiny planet would have been, to which Zarbon answers a single day's time.[1]

The events of Jaco occurring then comes in direct contrast to long-established dates for both Goku's birth year and the destruction of Planet Vegeta, which Dragon Ball Daizenshuu 7: Dragon Ball Large Encyclopedia, Dragon Ball Chōzenshū 4: Dragon Ball Super Encyclopedia, and various other official sources over the years have cited as Age 737 based on working backwards from Goku's given age during the 21st Tenka'ichi Budōkai. Though the timeline presented in Jaco clashes with supplemental guidebook information and the first TV special of Dragon Ball Z, it does not necessarily contradict any information from the manga.
