The first UU set was seven discs and this set appears to be the season set that was originally set for this month and then delayed until a future date.

That 2012 date has been used on their site for years. All they know is an early 2007 date for the release but nothing that they can pin down.

Actually, it appears that there are no more Ultimate Uncut editions, period. Volume 10 was due to be released on the 11th of this month but nothing ever showed up in stores. What we'll be getting from this point on appears to be just the season sets.

No, you're not nuts at all. Trunks is the first to mention Dr. Gero in the series. I think in the FUNimation dub they consider him a general in the Red Ribbon Army at one point. They also considered Taopaipai a general of the RR Army as well. Sloppy work on FUNi's part.

I'm going with FUNimation using the animation they have been using for so many years and not using Spain or Japan's remastered versions. It doesn't cost them anything (except for the standard production costs) for using the version they already own and use.
