Plan to Exterminate the Saiyans - Planets and Races
So I recently got my hands in pretty much complete footage of the "True Plan to Exterminate the Saiyans".
At one point the characters have to travel to space and reach "Ankoko-sei" which I think means "Planet Darkness". Before they do though, they've got to travel to one of 3 planets. One is a water planet, one a planet where Goku finds a bunch of orbs and another which is actually a space station. Now, I researched Herms Guides and found the one with the races and found this in it:
Kuhn-Seijin: The inhabitants of Planet Kuhn, one of the planets from Plan to Exterminate the Saiyans. They resemble dogs, which is where they get their name from (“ku~n” being the cry of a dog). Some of them can predict the future. They are harassed by the space pirates from Planet Ater. Because of this, the town on Planet Kuhn is named Pirates.
Ater-Seijin: The inhabitants of Planet Ater, the other planet from Plan to Exterminate the Saiyans. Most of the planet is water (hence the name), and they live underwater. Some of them are space pirates. The town on their planet is named Aqua, for obvious reasons.
I'll take it Planet Ater is the water planet and Ater-Seijin is the little fish dude. Kuhn-Seijin... could it be that odd feller with the glasses? But he doesn't live on a planet... he lives on an abandoned space station... And what about the other planet? And the fairy Goku finds in it? What's her name? Race? Does the fish dude and odd feller have names? What are those plessiosaur dragon things? Are they the true leoplurodons?
And by the way, I know the little retarded looking monsters from the first chapter actually have names, does anyone know their names? Do they have descriptions? Like, are they monsters? Or maybe aliens?
This game always raised so many questions for me... I've got many more questions but I'll leave those for the games section.

Re: Plan to Exterminate the Saiyans - Planets and Races
It seems that the actual name for the town on Planet Kuhn is "Pira" and the one on is "Qua", instead of being flat-out named "Pirates" and "Aqua" like I wrote before. At least, this is what the Japanese Wikipedia page for the game says (I haven't actually played the game, so I just have that to go by). I could have sworn that back when I wrote that, the Wikipedia page said that the names were "Pirates" and "Aqua", so I don't know if the page was wrong back then and has been corrected, or if I just made a stupid mistake (I suppose I could resolve this by looking through the past versions of the page, but I'm lazy and kinda want to hold on to the possibility that it wasn't me who screwed up).
A better romanization for that robot's name would be "God Guardon" (since I'm pretty sure its name is supposed to be a combination of "god" and "guard"). As for what any of these monsters are, I don't know either. God Guardon just looks like a robot Raichi made; maybe the others are genetic experiments created by Raichi too, or the ghost warrior versions of such experiments that were originally destroyed by the Saiyans.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Images have their respective names on them. As for what they are? Who knows. It has been a while since I watched the OVA, but aren't they made of the same blob stuff as Freeza and co.? I do believe they are ghost warriors, but I have no idea what they were before...

While it might be a better romanization, I don't quite like it as much... It seems more like a flat out name or title instead of the pun based names that are normally used for characters (even though it isn't, I know I'm weird). Are there any other possibilities for romanizations, or could you just post the source so I can decide on my own spelling? =P I never really liked the "Goddogadon" version I see everywhere, something more like "Godogardon" seems to have a nice sound to me ears...is that one possible?Herms wrote:A better romanization for that robot's name would be "God Guardon" (since I'm pretty sure its name is supposed to be a combination of "god" and "guard"). Speaking of puns and names, do the other creatures (Skud, Arbee, Botan, and Kinkarn) have puns behind their names or anything?

Well, it's ゴッドガードン/Goddogaadon; ゴッド/Goddo is how the English word "god" is written in Japanese, and ガード/gaado is how "guard" is written. Seems like a pretty straightforward name. There's nothing exactly inaccurate with using "Godogardon", but I think it's like calling Trunks "Tolankus".TheDevilsCorpse wrote:While it might be a better romanization, I don't quite like it as much... According to Japanese Wikipedia:Speaking of puns and names, do the other creatures (Skud, Arbee, Botan, and Kinkarn) have puns behind their names or anything?
Kinkarn: from kinkan, meaning kumquat.
Arbee: from biwa (biwa -> bia -> abi -> Arbee), meaning loquat.
Gure: from “grape”
Ponkarn: from ponkan
Rozack: from zakuro, meaning pomegranate
Skud: from muscat (masukatto -> Sukaddo -> Skud)
Bontarn: from bontan, meaning “pomelo”.
Jiku: from ichijiku, Japanese for the common fig
Buhdo: from budou, meaning “grape”
Kawarz: from kawazu, “frog”

Ok...What about everything else?
Re: Plan to Exterminate the Saiyans - Planets and Races

Can anyone translate this? This way we can at least know which planet is which.

Re: Plan to Exterminate the Saiyans - Planets and Races
Ok I kinda had to revive this topic to make sense of it for myself.
Most of the characters are shared between versions and are named on the NES game at least. There's a few new characters on the Playdia games but as far as I know, they're nameless.
In the original NES game we have 2 planets: Ater and Kuhn, their backstories seem to pretty much be what Herms already translated, I won't expect much more from a NES game.
On the Playdia game though, both Ater and Kuhn are non-existent and we get, I think, Aoi, Aka and Kuro (I might be wrong, I used a translator), which are translated to pretty much Blue, Red and Black.
Blue Planet is a water planet, it's got water creatures like fish and octopi, also a pink pleasiassaur like creature and a cartoonish monster of the black lagoon. There is also a giant thin tower which Goku seemingly comments that it reminds him of Karin Tower.
Red Planet is actually an old abandoned space station filled with junk, an odd looking creature appears here, kinda looks like a mole.
Black planet is one with a stone tower, in it Goku finds a bunch of glowing orbs and a fairy inside one of them. That's pretty much it as far as I know.
Finally, the last planet is shared between all versions of this story, Ankoko, the planet where Raichi's spaceship landed. Well, all except the new one in which the planet seems to be made out of ghost... energy? But it seems physical as well. Also seems to randomly appear orbiting Earth. I don't even understand properly.
Well, this is all I could gather and understand, since I don't understand moonspeak, this is quite limited.

"Ankoku", meaning "darkness", so "Dark Planet". Like with the other planets, it's less of a proper name and more of a description.DNA wrote:Finally, the last planet is shared between all versions of this story, Ankoko,

Yes, that. But so this means that that planet has the same name, or maybe it even is the same planet as Yakons home planet. Right?Herms wrote:"Ankoku", meaning "darkness", so "Dark Planet". And I'm guessing "Aoi" or blue planet and Ater are the same planet, being that they're both planets composed mostly of water.

Re: Plan to Exterminate the Saiyans - Planets and Races
Yakon's planet is Ankoku-sei, whereas if I remember right Raichi's planet is ankoku-wakusei. Which means pretty much the same thing, but it's not quite the same name. You could probably still try and claim that they're the same place, at least for fan-fiction purposes.DNA wrote:Yes, that.
