Fusion Dance multiplier?

Post by TheMightyOzaru » Sun Sep 08, 2013 5:42 pm

Ok, I've heard that the Fusion Dance is either several times the sum or dozens of times the sum of the fusees. Which is more accurate?

What ever the plot feels like  . Just kidding.

I think it's dozens. I always thought it was B^2 power plus the difference between A and B.

I'm looking for an official source.

I kinda want several. My minimalist list has Goten and Trunks BARELY above C-18 if it's around dozens. With several, they are at least twice as strong.

The anime guide DBZ Son Goku Densetsu says Gotenks has "many times" the power of Goten/Trunks on their own.

The SEG: Story Guide describes Fusion as giving birth to a warrior that has "multiplied" the two's power together.

GT Perfect File Vol.2 says SSj4 Gogeta "perhaps" has "many tens of times" the power of a single Super Saiyan 4.

Wasn't there one that had the several tens of times stronger for Gotenks as well?
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I don't think so. People probably just conflated the Gotenks and Gogeta statements.

SEG: Story Guide (it's manga-focused, right?) has Fusion Dance multiplying the fusees' powers?

I don't think they mean AxB.

BTW, not to create another topic, but what is also stated for the Potara?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I personally believe dance fusion is roughly 10 times one of the kids power levels (at base). Like lets say Goten alone was 10,000,000, base Gotenks is 100,000,000. Or I've seen some people bring up the sum of both kids x 10.

I've read occasionally on youtube that it is the same multiplier as going SSJ1 (x50) but I think that's just overkill. Any higher than a 10 to 20 times boost I think would be too much. On my power level list, I try my very best to not put SSJ3 Gotenks that much higher than Goku... maybe 1.5x higher at greatest. Also consider Ultimate Gohan needs to be stronger than Gotenks too.

SS Gotenks was stated to be stronger than Fat Buu, so he kind of has to be far stronger than Goku.

I have at (A + B) x 6.5 roughly, or B x 13. Then again, I use different SS multipliers for fusions.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.

Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

SSJ3 Goku also was stronger than Fat Buu, he admits it later when he and Vegeta fight Kid Buu. that's why I think there doesn't need to be a very large gap between Gotenks and Goku's power level.

...so? All that says is that both SS Gotenks and SS3 Goku are stronger. There should still be a multifold difference in their powers barring different multipliers.

Goku ASSUMED Gotenks would be stronger than Buu, it's never outright stated that Gotenks is superior to Fat Buu.
