Unrelated, but as a small child with no concept of suspension of disbelief watching the Ocean dub, I thought Tien's "Just you wait until it grows back" was just another line.

Like, I would have cut my arm of and been like "S'all good", because I just straight up did not get that this was a poor dub. Hfil, I didn't even know what a dub was at the time.

Nope, the Latin American dub had Mario Castañeda portraying both Goku and Turles, what made me think they were twin brothers.

Before I knew what GT was I used to confuse images of GT Goku and Goten. GT Goku having a tail made it worse since Gohan had a tail when he was little so why wouldn't his brother?

Speaking of GT I used to think golden monkey Baby was Broly since I hadn't watched it yet but figured he's gotta be the LSS Vegeta was talking about.

I missed when Future Trunks revealed his parents so until I got the next episodes I assumed he was Goku and Bulma's kid. A small part of me still kinda believes this to be the original intention.
