Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
After Bandai Namco's tweet, I think it's safe to assume November 22nd is the final US release date.

You're correct, seeing as Kanzenshuu has reported on it.
On one hand, we'll get to play it sooner (I'll be on the 3DS playing this and my brother playing Pokémon Sun
), but on the other, it still may sell poorly due to the aforementioned Pokémon games releasing, not to mention Thanksgiving.

Ouch! No news for Europe, though. We'll still have to wait until February...Footlong Shoe wrote:After Bandai Namco's tweet, I think it's safe to assume November 22nd is the final US release date.

What does everyone think the reasoning was behind the change in release date? I mean, they can't be oblivious to the release of Pokémon and there is no question that sales are gonna dip. I don't play Pokémon ando I'm personally happy I'll get to play this early (I'm buying a 2ds just for this), but I also know how huge Pokémon is.Anime Kitten wrote:You're correct, seeing as Kanzenshuu has reported on it.

I hope they didn't do this just to try and compete with Pokémon. It's hard to believe that's the reason but why else move up the release date by only three weeks?dualist wrote:What does everyone think the reasoning was behind the change in release date? Maybe Bamco wants some of that sweet bloodlusting Black Friday money. It is only a couple of days before Black Friday, it would make sense to capitalize on the day where everyone is killing each other to buy anything they want and need for Christmas.
I'm just wondering if the free DLC from Japan is gonna be in the base game.

It says 29th for Canada still. Which is why I changed to the USA order. If Canada changes to this date, which I hope they do, I can save some money.jumpshot22 wrote:I contacted Amazon about it since I have it on pre-order and they said it is releasing on the 16th. EB officially updated to the 22nd. If you've got one in the area, stop in and check with them, maybe pre-order it since this game is probably not gonna get a second printing.dbzfan7 wrote:It says 29th for Canada still. I already did. I just hope Amazon changes to this date as their shipping is free. Right now they say they won't change it from a week later than the 22nd. But at the moment EB is all I got. Seriously I saved only 2 dollars by switching from Amazon.com to EB in Canada. Ridiculous how bad our looney is.Lance Freeman wrote:EB officially updated to the 22nd. Ooh, nice. I really like the look of Merged Zamasu. There hasn't been any word on how long this game will be updated, right? They'll just stop when they decide to stop?Grimlock wrote:*snip*

Hope we're getting all of these characters though. Game comes out pretty soon.

I guess they might wait and give us all updates at once, because it'd be cheaper than updating the game several times. Besides, these characters are also unlocked as soon as the game is updated, which breaks early game balance (although the QR code characters do the same).

Has the game released in the US on the 16th?

I'm not aware of any, but it probably wouldn't hurt to double check - is there any pre-order related DLC for this game, or should I be fine just picking one up in store if I can?

Haven't seen any listed for the US, no.
Unlocks in the Japanese version included a code in the strategy guide and then a bunch of QR codes in magazines, all of which you can unlock through normal methods anyway later in the game on your own.

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Early reports suggest that the English localization is pretty bad, though I've come to expect that from Namco Bandai at this point. Hopefully it will be free of their famous "completely wrong information" translation issues that plagued... well, pretty much everything they ever put out that isn't a Tales game.
