No, we shouldn't be glad that Vegeta got SSB, and is equal to Goku.
I'm more than happy about him being on Goku's level, both in terms of power and importance to the story but I would've liked to see him as a Ssj3 as well.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I definitely would've wanted a look at it, even if it wasn't in BOG. I don't care how useless it is compared to Super Saiyan Blue. I like the third form more by a mile, so it's no contest for me.

We could see it at the tournament.

Maybe Cabba reached Ssj2 so he could ask Vegeta if there's anything other than Blue after it so he shows it to him, maybe even tells him how to handle it.

I think the reason he didn't is because Toriyama didn't think he was going to do more stories so he wanted to leave everything they way they originally were so Vegeta didn't get Ssj3 and Goku's SsjG form was a temporary power up.

Or maybe, just maybe? Super saiyan three isn't a form you unlock through rage. Just a thought, would actually explain this in universe
