Re: DB Fan Comic Recommendations
I second the recommendation for Strawberry Saga (though it sadly remains unfinished). The artist Icecry does a good job of portraying an emotional and heartfelt version of Goku that still feels like Goku, which is vital anytime a fanwork creator wants to try him out as a romance lead. It's a Dragon Ball story with absolutely no fighting in it, but all the characters get a chance to show their iconic energy, especially Bulma and her various idiosyncrasies. Plus, we get to see Mrs. Briefs with her eyes actually open for a change (sacrilege!)

Re: DB Fan Comic Recommendations
I want to read more of Toyble's work. I really enjoyed DB Zero and DBAF. Definitely want to see more like Raditz' back story and stuff.
I'd be really grateful if someone could provide links to read online too.

If you have a Facebook I run a little fan-page where you can read them, I used to just create download links but after about a 100 or so it started to become a hassle. Toyble's works should be close to the bottom of the gallery.DBZ Macky wrote:I want to read more of Toyble's work. I really enjoyed DB Zero and DBAF. Wow, you have some nice scans of Dragon Ball Sai. I'm still waiting for someone to translate it. Like, anyone? I'm really surprised that such a decent fan manga doesn't have a proper translation.Xeztin wrote: If you have a Facebook I run a little fan-page where you can read them, I used to just create download links but after about a 100 or so it started to become a hassle. There is a group I know that wants too but currently they are working on Bardack After 2 and DB After 6.Mnich wrote:Wow, you have some nice scans of Dragon Ball Sai. Re: DB Fan Comic Recommendations
Thanks for doing that! I know many people prefer to read a fancomic online than download the pages. I'll add your Facebook to the list.Xeztin wrote:If you have a Facebook I run a little fan-page where you can read them, I used to just create download links but after about a 100 or so it started to become a hassle. Re: DB Fan Comic Recommendations
Personally, I'd rather have them as rar files, or ideally crb/cbz. Are any of these fan comics available in downloadable rar files?
Re: DB Fan Comic Recommendations
The only ones I'm aware of that are available for download are Toyble's AF, Super Vegeta Den, and DBZ X One Punch Man. The opening post has a link to download Toyble's AF and Xeztin offered download links for the other two stories. Xeztin might be able to offer downloads for the other comics he hosted on his Facebook page.DNA wrote:Personally, I'd rather have them as rar files, or ideally crb/cbz. Re: DB Fan Comic Recommendations
If it's any of the works done by Toyble, Young Jijii/Omada, and Dragon Garow Lee, I'll have download links for it already. If you want any works done by any of them just quote me with what you want/need and I'll try to get it back to you.Skar wrote:The only ones I'm aware of that are available for download are Toyble's AF, Super Vegeta Den, and DBZ X One Punch Man. Re: DB Fan Comic Recommendations
If I may suggest a slight update: the DBZ Elsewhere link on the first post leads to Volume 1 of the series, but now RMK has put up Volume 2 and 3 on DeviantArt as well, so I think it might be even better to either link to his main Elsewhere page on DeviantArt, which has links to all three volumes and a lot of supplementary material:

Or to alternately (or additionally, if you decide to stick up both links), link to the main Elsewhere web site, which RMK set up shortly after deciding to continue the series:

Looks fun! Exploring Freeza's childhood is great territory for a comic. Giving him a Saiyan friend seems odd (it's not like there's a shortage of Dragon Ball comics with Saiyans) and I'm personally more a fan of Freeza's species reproducing asexually, but even with those nitpicks it has potential.Gog wrote:Unguarded a Dragon Ball Z Fan-comic

Here's another. Now the art isn't fantastic and it's spanish. But it revolves around Goku being evil, a cliche, but it's still pretty good. There's another out there in french, but I have to look for it.

Someone asked me why I invest so much time into collecting Dragonball doujinshi.
I answered, "Because I don't see anyone else doing it".

Is Dragon Ball Sai a reboot of Super Vegeta Den? What's the reading order?

Re: DB Fan Comic Recommendations
You can see it as a reboot, yeah. Super Vegeta Den seems to be a "blueprint", while Dragon Ball Sai is the final version.DNA wrote:Is Dragon Ball Sai a reboot of Super Vegeta Den? What's the reading order?
I don't think Lee ever printed Super Vegeta Den and that's why we have low quality scans, but Dragon Ball Sai is printed and usually sold at some doujinshi conventions in Japan.
That's the version Lee will continue to work on...one day...hopefully...

A world without Dragon Ball is just meh.
