I really don't know anything about Carddass was just looking for these new U.S Dragon Ball Super cards (since they were apparently supposed to be out yesterday) and came across those cards I posted.

That Trunks look awful, who did this?
Power levels are not just big numbers:
Spoiler:
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

I am pretty sure it is same guy that was doing FUNi's covers for their recent releases (thankfully he isn't doing their DBS), kind of worrying that is he is now doing official work for DB in Japan, which might explain why he isn't doing DBS for FUNi...

What about that Black? He's incredibly disproportionate.

I feel like there's something off about this shot of Caulifla from 88:

Her face looks like it's been squished vertically somehow and her ears are creeping up above her hairline. It's hard to say with so little reference material though.
Gohan and Cabba also had some wandering ears in various cuts:

Question: Who will supervise episode 90 according to you? It seems to be a really important episode, and all of our best animation supervisors just made their episodes. (Tate 86 - Manabe 87 - Itai 88 and Nii + apparently Nashizawa 89 - Not counting Shimanuki since he isn't great at animating things) So... who? The logic would be Yashima, but giving him a 2vs2 fight? I don't think they're gonna give him that episode.

I think it will be Shimanuki with some good KAs and Ono studio doing #90. I won't worry about Shimanuki because he may not be the best KA around but he is a good supervisor.
Psykomatik wrote:Or Ka... Karasa... you know that guy who did 31, 37, 44, 50, 57, 66 and 72?

That looks so good!! i'm guessing that is tsuji's ?
It has traits of hers, but the muscles and hands make me think otherwise.
Maybe she's decided to try out some lighter correcting? Or maybe I'm just crazy.

I was about to say the same thing but I hope that if Karasawa returns he's being saved for the tournament.
If Karasawa returns I think he'll be on episode 1 of the tournament.
