It just seems completely arbitrary to pick Goku over anyone else in the tournament, since Goku didn't even perform that well in it. So I like that Toyotaro closed that hole off with that little gag-panel.

In the manga, Goku pretty much dominated Hit the moment he started using God ki. Not to mention before this he heard about how great Goku is from Shin, and then asked Zuno all there is to know about Goku, learning how he rapidly increases his power. The choice was clear.

And yet Toyotaro still felt the need to draw Zamasu taking Monaka's body, so he's aware the choice didn't make much sense.

He should have done something about it like the anime did. Honestly the anime did the right choice at the cost of creating a paradox.

I agree completely but that's an issue with Toriyama's writing and you're not allowed to talk smack about Toriyama unless you want the thought police to come and get you.

It's a joke, you're supposed to suspend your disbelief there.

Gosenzo-sama means ancestor but it's written separately, meaning Gosen and Zosama are the names of the 6th Universe's attendant and the Old Kaioshin

I'm pretty sure it's just separated because of lack of space and it probably isn't his name as well.

Also realized now the name Kibitoshin makes even more sense!

No, he drew that because Vegeta asks Goku why Zamasu didn't steal his or Monaka's body. It's a gag on that, you're trying to create a problem that doesn't exist

Exactly, they are bonus pages.

That's future elder. He is just saying he died after future Dabra destroyed the Z sword he was sealed in. We already kind of knew this, now it's totally confirmed.

Maybe it has something to do with his immortality. He can't be near to death or at any distance at all from it. There is no real curing in his restorations, so no Zenkais.

That was the case for Goku & Vegeta, yes. With Goku Black matching their equivalent, current status with Super Saiyan Rosé, you could think that he exhausted them, too.

I'm reading Volume 1 at the moment and they have a bunch of these pages.

Vegeta practising his bingo dance. Him being disappointed that he couldn't perform it. Beerus telling Goku he's the second strongest he's ever fought. Magetta upset over his mediocre test score. Goku punching Monaka in the face. Sorbet being shown in Hell.

No bonus pages with Toyotarou explaining any changes or anything like that before which is why I wondered if they're were supposed to be bonus pages.
