If Tien and Yamcha are in, I would be very happy because I would make my human dream team. Krillin / Tien / Yamcha.

My second team I'd love to be Piccolo / Frieza / Dr Gero.

Robo-Ky and Zappa still are not playable. Story mode of GGXrd has a lot of signicant, but not playable characters: Gabriel, Daryl, Ariels, Ano Otoko, etc. Ariels, btw, is the main antagonist of GGXrd Revelator story mode and she is NPC.
I say, that tweet does not mean that Yamcha is playable. It only means that he is in the game in some form or another. But I doubt, that he will not be in the roster. i just want to notice this tweet does not prove that Yamcha is playable.

Don't look at the comment section of the IGN videos for this game, you'll see people calling the art style 'smartphone-ish"!

As I said before, hasn't Yamcha been in every single 3D Dragonball fighter since Budokai 1 back on PS2? I don't think Yamcha has ever missed a 3D fighter made for the consoles. Someone correct me if I'm wrong? I didn't play all of them but from what I remember he was in them all that I played.

Super Dragon Ball was the only exception as far as I'm aware, otherwise he was in pretty much everything.

If Yamcha is in, then he will most likely be playable. The supportive role only makes sense when the two are considered a team in-universe. I never saw Yamcha/Tenshinhan as such, but characters like Burter/Jeice, C17/C18, Goten/Trunks and Black/Zamasu.
A world without Dragon Ball is just meh.

Yamcha and Tenshinhan being in are a given. Usually the fighters ignore Chioatzu and Yajirobe, and sometimes Videl.

I'm on the same boat. One of my main complaints with Xenoverse was how bulky everyone looked. Unfortunately the same applies for FighterZ. I just hope that if Hit and Black make it in they will be just as in the anime. I wouldn't want to see Black as jacked as Goku in the game.

I heard this on /v/, but some say that the Closed Beta is only going to be for people who signed up for the first few hours. I know it's /v/, so there's no actual merit to what's being said, but could that potentially be true?

The only closed beta I ever got in was first come first served. Although it was for a completely different type of game and the sign up process wasn't the same.
With this said, it's certainly a possibility.

Kinda wish we had some customization. I mean they're all 3d models, let us change some things up like in Xenoverse with custom costumes or a Custom Character.

Yes, they're all 3D models, but the method used is different from traditional models. While games like Xenoverse have the models doing actions in real time, these models from FighterZ have specific frame based animations, just like traditional 2D animation. You can check Guilty Gear Xrd for more details, game also made by Arc Systems. Having different outfits means a completely new model and animations. It's a lot of work, so they avoid doing it

Really, I don't see the point of that. I know, nice graphics and all (Well, nice for the most part), but when making a game do you really need to shoot yourself in the foot for when you want to make future content.

The models are 3D but they're not animated the usual way like they are in Xenoverse. They can't just swap in a new model for a custom costume.
