How does Kanzenshuu make money?
It is a quite large website with likely a lot of costs to operate. I was curious how does it make money. I haven't seen any ads on here, and even when not logged in, only a small banner ad is visible.
How does it make up for its operational costs? Is it profitable?

Paypal donation? There's a button there up top.

Re: How does Kanzenshuu make money?
Kanzenshuu is not a business. The four of us all have "real" jobs outside of the website. We are not paid for or take any income from anything we do here.
We have small banner ads on the forum for users that are not logged in (and no ads on the website-proper). These roughly cover our monthly hosting fees (most of the time not covering them fully). We receive a few small donations each month, which help supplement that. All other costs (non-hosting tech costs, purchases, shipments, etc.) we just personally eat.

To reiterate a little bit of what Mike said, we don't do this to make money. In fact, we don't make money. We make enough to barely cover the cost of hosting and everything else is out of pocket because we enjoy what we do. It just is what it is.
