I love that they're going to be exploring Namekian lore in this arc, hopefully we'll get to see Zalama. I'm also very curious to see if he gets his wish granted, it would mean this new Namekian character is stronger than Goku, Vegeta, and maybe even Beerua, and if a Namekian can become that powerful it might open the possibility for Piccolo to become relevant again

This is so dumb, i don't even know how to comment it. Apparently every damn planet or universe has dragon balls now and you don't even need 7 of them to not make getting your wish too hard. Really we got here from early DB? This is starting to become more ridiculous than DBH. I guess Goku Jr. expecting shenron to come out of single dragon ball wasn't that bad idea as it seems it will soon be possible.

Still lazy af. How many sets of dragon balls we need in this franchise? At least with super dragon balls it's hard to get them for a mere mortal (even though Granola will probably get them easily somehow if he needs because why not) and with black star balls they were scattered across universe and would destroy your planet if you do not collect them, so those 2 sets at least got some drawbacks and excuses to exist. I guess we might wait a bit to find out what's going on with those new balls, but if it's as easy as it seems then it's bullshit.

I hate how they minimize effort to get a wish over years along with actual story not even being about dragon balls anymore, except for first and last GT arcs since Namek saga. Dragon balls nowadays mostly exist to just get a wish to push story forward and collecting them is a joke. They even didn't really have that much trouble getting super dragon balls in U6 vs U7 arc as those were granted to them basically. Call me boomer, but i miss og DB where collecting dragon balls wasn't easy and was major plot point. In DBS we had 3 villains using dragon balls: Pilaf, Zamasu and Moro and all those were done without big effort and rushed.

Shenron granting more than a single wish doesn't help. And death doesn't matter because there are so many sets of dragon balls that you can always ressurect someone, if not by earth balls then using namekians which they will probably give you right away when you visit them.

You haven’t even given the story a chance yet to explain itself. You see two Dragon Balls and a new Dragon and you automatically hate it, saying this and that while the story is still being developed. Slow down, give it a chance, and lets see what happens. If they execute great, fine, if not, then we can bash on it as much as we please.

There's no reason to show the Dragon Ball hunt if it's not going to be anything more than dead weight that drags out the story.

My guess is that the use of only two balls means either more or less power than the others...

About Vegeta and Beerus

I am not sure how I feel about Beerus saying Vegeta should let go of the sins of the Saiyans. This makes it sound like he is holding onto the sins of his people but Vegeta is also responsible for the destruction he caused. He was stlll causing it many years after Planet Vegeta had already been destroyed


I get Beerus is the God of Destruction but I am hoping the theme of this arc isn’t going to be it’s okay to destroy planets & kill because new life will take its place or in Granolah’s planets case new aliens will find a home. Even if that is partially true I hope there will be more nuance to it than that

Dragonballs on other planets - wonder what this says about Namekians. But then if all dragonballs come from the super dragonballs, guess the Namekians really aren't that special, you just need someone with the powers to create a dragon, and activate those balls.

Beerus still hasn't shown his full power agenst Goku. This just shows how strong Beerus is even when he is suppressed.

I think everyone already know that Granola's wish won't be granted for obvious reason and it will surely lead to a hunt for the super dragon ball.

I think the wish will be denied due to the usual "the dragon can't grant a wish beyond it's creator's power". However I guess the dragon can still do something else to power up Granolah... like transfering the latent angelic power from OG73's crystal into Granolah.

Of course the angelic powers destroyed Moro, he wasn't able to control it, even after fusing with the Earth. But he was a mage, and Granolah is trained warrior, so...

I don't think Granola will get his wish at all, he'll probably be stopped by gramps. However I think next chapter we will get a hint at how strong Granola will become, I'm not sure what will happen but I think it will involve the heaters in some way. Also considering that gramps told Granola that the DB's are meant to be used by a brave hero at a ceremony makes me reconsider Granola even being the villain of this arc, if anything I think he will be the one to save everyone in the universe.

Lastly the entire Vegeta vs Beerus fight feels a bit off, I thought Vegeta should've at least been able to exchange blows with Beerus but I guess not. Also I think Vegeta will not embrace the path of destruction as Beerus wants him to, maybe he'll get a new strength that is born from his guilt?

Or Zalama was an omnipotent being, who split, and the Namek race was born. This could explain the power of creating dragon balls, and fusing being a natural skill to their race.
They could even use this as a huge logical powerup for Piccolo, because maybe he could learn to summon the remaining spirit of Zalama in himself.

Well maybe so but I would also argue based on what Beerus is saying to Vegeta and the new race finding a home on Granolah’s planet that there could be more than one theme this arc

Hmm, I wonder about that - not least because it was an extremely prevalent theme of the last arc; seems like it would be repetitive to take another thematic run at it right now. It's possible, of course, but I wonder whether this isn't just the key active characterisation of villains in Dragon Ball Super - the appearances of out-and-out villains (Freeza, Zamas, Moro) have centred around acts of theft, as opposed to the acts of murder perpetrated by villains from original Dragon Ball (Freeza included).

I had a really interesting idea for how this new dragon could work and it would make it unique but also incredibly dangerous. So next chapter the dragon would say: “Your Wish is Beyond my Power. However, my creator designed me so that if my power could not grant a wish, I seek out a method of granting it. I have found such a method. In 3 weeks time the power you desire will be granted to you. Your wish Shall be Fulfilled. Farewell.”

A Dragon that Seeks out a method to grant a wish is not only very unique but also incredibly dangerous and has major implications for use. It could really be a dangerous item to have around.
