I'm watching it now. Awesome animation, I must say.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

OH GOD IT'S HERE IT'S HERE IT'S HERE!

These loading times are killing me though. I can't believe there's English subs, and a DVD release coming soon!

Wow. That was really good. Vegeta stole the show this time. Bravo! :D
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

Vegeta and Goku's interactions are hilarious.

I don't even think I can watch this because I have a MAC. And it says it only supports windows. Boo.

I thought it was cool that everybody got to pitch in and help. That was a big problem in the main series.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Whoah, the animation during the scene where the spaceships land...so awesome

She's had nine years to practice.

It could just be that I viewed the Japanese one earlier, and traffic wasn't so heavy then.

-Doesn't it seem like Tarble is under the impression that Vegeta is the one who defeated Freeza? And of course, Vegeta never corrects him.

-Probably something everyone figured out, but what the subs translate as "combat strength" is sentou ryoku/battle power/power level/what have you. It's a perfectly valid translation, but not used too often.

-Oolong in a maid outfit...what the bloody, bloody hell?
Scott must have gone into the future, learned of Oolong's cross-dressing ways and referenced it in TFS's DBZA.

She always knew how to sense ki.
Remember her fight with Goten and Trunks back at the Tenkaichi Budokai tournament? She sensed their ki right away when they turned Super Saiyan.

Oh my bad it’s been awhile since I’ve seen or read anything from the Buu arc and could only remember that the androids couldn’t sense ki in the Cell arc.

I am really surprised that this hasn't been upload elsewhere yet. Seriously, bootlegs must be taking their day off.

Please, I beg you, men of illegal activities, upload ths somewhere else, youtube, anywhere, so I can watch it on my virus free awesome MAC.

So when Ado and Cado begin to attack with their split-body technique, the subs say "Romper Room is over". Romper Room is an old American kid's program that was also popular in Japan. However, I'm pretty sure that's not quite what they're saying in Japanese, but I can't really make out what they're saying. Romper Room was still known as "Romber Room" in Japan, but what they say is "[can't make this out; youten? ryouten?] no yuugi wa oshimai da!"/"[???]'s play is over". I don't know if "[???] no yuugi" is the name of some Japanese childrens show deemed to be equivalent to Romper Room, if it's some alternate Japanese name for Romper Room, or what. At any rate, the whole thing just seems to mean "playtime is over".

Incidentally, I love how the sixth and final clone just slowly hovers out.

17 and 18 couldn't sense ki at first. Remember when 16 sensed Cell fighting Piccolo? 17 asked 16 how he knew that, and he said he had built in sensors.

The subtitles are mediocre, as expected. The whole "いい子いい子" exchange was translated pretty bad. Need to finish the rest, though.

Also, Herms, they said "幼稚なお遊戯はおしまいだ." The "Romper Room" thing is an expression in English.

Btw, wtf was up with Oolong in drag at one point? Lmao.

-Piccolo's Makankosappo gets subbed as "Light of Death", which is Viz's name for it (and an extremely eccentric translation, so I doubt someone would independently come up with it), so maybe Viz was responsible for translating this? Does anyone know if the other attack names match Viz's?

-"Kakrotte"?

-The thing at the end with Goku eating Vegeta's sushi because he thought he wasn't going to eat it, while Vegeta was actually especially saving it for last, is very similiar to a chapter of Dr. Slump where Kinoko's father makes the same mistake.

Ah, thank you. Man, my hearing's crap. I've never heard the expression "Romper Room is over" before. But then, I never heard "Don't stand on ceremony" before I saw it used in bootleg subtitles.
