It's from right before Goku uses the Taiyo-ken to blind Vegeta.

Ah, I see. Well I agree that in that case it was badly translated. However, people tend to say Viz is worse than it actually is. Their translation is good, not excellent, but it is good. I dont quite understand when people say their translation is awful.

On the other hand, I can't say the same about ours, although it is accurate, it's poorly translated from Spanish, which is a big shame.

That`s really a shame.

I can relate because I am a fan of the portuguese dub, which got me into dragon ball. It was translated from the french version which was very badly translated from the original. So I know what a awful translation really is .

Well.. I am Portuguese, so I know exactly what you're talking about. Have you ever read any of our translation? It's good, but filled to the brim with Spanish expressions.

Oh thats right. You`re the one who is translating the DBMultiverse. I thought you were somebody else.

I`ve never seen the portuguese version of the manga. But, just like so many things else, it wouldn`t surprise me if the translation sucked. Its good to know that the translation is good at least. It could do well enough without spanish expressions though

I collect the Vizbigs instead. They have some censoring in the earlier volumes, but besides that they are quite good. I might buy vol. 1 and vol. 2 of the regular Viz manga because I saw them the other day on Fnac and they were uncensored. The censorship doesn`t really bother me, but it kinda completes the manga if I get them.

How does NeptuneKai respond to this one?

It's 2:30 in the morning and I can't think of anything funny to say...fuck it.

They mean a series of Kanzenban that isn't censored in the art department or dialogue department.
Aro started to laugh. “Ha, ha, ha,” he chuckled.- Actual quote from Twilight

I'm curious. I used to own the portuguese translation of the first Tankôbon, but I lost it since and don't remember much about it, and it seems to be ridiculously hard to find nowadays, so I have to ask... How was the translation done, especially later on during the Z portion?

I know I'm crazy and this will never happen but my dream release would be :

A megasupermega box with Dbz/Dbgt/Db/movies/special/extra special/more specials in blu ray and the specs would be :

- U can choose in the menu if u want 4:3 Dragonbox or 16:9 Kai
- All subs in the world
- All dubs in the world
- Original Japanese

Also you get every kanzenban manga, daizenshuu and other guides in DVD form and you can choose the language English or Japanese. Oh and what's more awesome, A mangavideo of Dragonball. Like they did with Street Fighter.

That would be cool.

Edit: The price would be $1000 dollars :P .

Can you imagine how much that thing would cost? Not even the most dedicated DB fan would be able to buy that.

Terrible idea.

I would love for FUNimation to release a complete series Blu-ray box set of Dragon Ball Kai. Complete with subtitles, the origional Toei re-dubbing and a new FUNimation re-dubbing (which is accurate to the origional script). Id also love it to have a really cool design, like the limited edition Kinikuman complete box set.

As for the Kanzenbans, i really hope they dont release them in English. I'm already having to sell my orange brick sets for FUNi's Dboxes and i dont want to sell my Kanzenbans .

My dream release would be the rest of the Daizenshuus and the Kanzenbans in English, and a FUNimation release of DBZ Special.
Just another Dragon Ball fangirl in the world.

DB & Tiger and Bunny are my main fandoms, along with many other animes.
