Yeah, I was going to bring that up to you on Skype but you were not around.

Anyhow, the second half of this episode was action-packed. Very fun, although the Bulma filler crept back in a little, sadly. Anyhow, the Kaiô-ken scene had some great music so I can't wait to see more of it next week!

The filler is necessary to explain just why Bulma was riding around on a bike in that rewritten scene where Kuririn gets the radar from her.

Yeah, although I surely they could have cut down on the scenes and written in a monologue, but alas...can't change it now...

After Goku does the Ginuy fighting-pose, it looks like he puts his left leg behind his right one and his right shoulder is in front. The next panel his pose is mirrored. First time I noticed this.

Sometimes I think they leave the Bulma filler in just to give her a reason to get paid during the Freeza arc.

Anywho, I really liked the new version of the Goku/Capt. Ginyu fight! The Z version seemed like it was full of stock footage or something... like they kept repeating parts.

Yeah, I'm surprised how much it was cut short. I used to watch these eps a lot when Season 3 came out on VHS and noticed they looped a lot of footage. Especially Goku stomping his foot on the ground when Ginyu flips away about 3 times in a row..

One thing I noticed after watching Kai is just how useless Bulma is during the Frieza arc. There's no reason to have her in there, except to exploit her capsules so Gohan/Krillin can rest. I guess she controlled the ship in order to get there. Still, I guess she was effective a comedic relief.

I really like Ginyu's new voice.

I have the feeling that Toriyama came to deeply regret writing Bulma onto the Namek-bound ship.
