Does Kai cut out the announcing during the Cell games?

That alone would be enough for me to buy it.

Kai's not even past the Frieza arc yet.

Hmm... I have no idea. I guess we'll see?

I'll take some za with my fries please!
But yeah, Goku hasn't even started fighting Friezer yet. He won't even be in his third form until the next episode (39).

Your bad indeed. :P Did you just assume they were that far without even looking (which would take all of 10 seconds)? If they were all the way up to the Cell Games, they'd have covered a little over 5 chapters per episode so far. Think of it this way, it'd be like cramming an already jam-packed two Kai episodes into a single episode. Now talk about being fast paced!

What I'm wondering, after someone mentioned it in the chat, is if they'll be clever enough to cut out Mr. Satan's dumb pupils that nobody wants to see. If they end up re-animating certain scenes, it'd be simple enough to just not include them, I suppose?

The Cell Games has the potential to be godly in Kai if they pull it off right. No random cuts to Mr. Satan and friends? Yes please!

I can't imagine that moment of Gohan's transforming into SSJ2 being any good without "Spirit vs Spirit", though.

The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

They've really pleasantly surprised us with the selection and placement of insert songs so far. I'd bet we're in for a treat with whatever they use for that scene.

The announcer annoys you, but various unnecessary reaction shots, and recanting from Goku and the gang is alright? C'mon, man. The announcer was the probably the only character in all of DBZ who had good reason to restate everything that was going on around him. I'd personally be happier if they took out all the ridiculously obvious observations made by everyone else.

Trunks: He's... so fast
Vegeta: Yes, fast. So fast. That's what he is. Fast.
