I have noticed on the product description sites for the remastered DBZ movies over amazon.com, that they are showing
us completely different screenshots and in much better contrast and this in 1:1,20 aspect ratio. We realize that the
DBZ Remastered Movies has a aspect ratio of 1:1,78 and presented us in 16:9 format.
Now, why Funimation has brought us a bad remastered release if they had release the remastered movies in 4:3 and better
quality/contrast ???
2 comparison shots:
Blu-ray screenshot (downsized) / AR: 1:1,78 / 16:9 format

Amazon.com screenshot / AR: 1:1,20 / ??? format

and here an other:
Screenshot from the DVD (downsized) / AR: 1:1,78 / 16:9 format

amazon.com screenshot / AR: 1:1,20 / ??? format

you can see that the screenshots from amazon has more contrast (which you can see if u compare the darker/brighter
parts) but a little more grain/dirt/scrathes ...
The fact is that the master for the DBZ movies are in 1:1,20 that means you can see much more, because normally we
all saw the movies in 4:3 format thats equal to the 1:1,33 aspect ratio.
Btw. which format is equal to 1:1,20 ? 5:4 is 1:1,25 ... Is someone expert in this case ?
But nevertheless its such a big shame these how VegettoEX says "faux" remastered 16:9 dbz movies, they could released it in 4:3 and better contrast!
Here are the links for more incredible good screenshots that you`ve never seen...
