So, judging by the title, it looks like Ultimate Budouten will be a throwback to the old Budouten games. I'm hoping it will be on the 3DS, as I want to pick up my first Nintendo console since the GBA SP (I've really missed out on a lot in current-gen gaming) and it'll be fun to play a fast-paced, Street Fighter-style game in the palm of my hands.

But what do you guys think Zenkai Battle Royale will be like? "Battle Royale" suggests that it might be a tag-team game with multiple fighters in one match, like Legends.

I think Zenaki Battle Royale will be the next series of console based games and the first next or current gen game to feature three or more fighters in a battle at once.

The bolded part is not true, but I agree with everything else. The sprites in UB22 were all new as far as I know, but the proportions were pretty off.

The sprites were actually taken from animation cels drawn especially for UB22 and Shin Butoden. You're right though, there's no way they could have copied and pasted the SNES sprites into UB22, because well, not only do they look completely different, but most of the characters on the game were never on the SNES.

Since its a DS game then I think the section of characters will be around 15-20. It's great to see a old school DBZ type of game.

That's good. The time has long gone for me to purchase a DS though (nor do I even have the money for it anymore, since I'm getting an Xbox 360 soon), which was why I was hoping that this game would be on the 3DS or the Xbox 360/PS3.

We still have practically no information on Zenkai Battle Royale though.

Although I prefer dial-a-combo to control stick direction inputs, I think this is a perfect fit for the DS and will definitely be picking it up.

My opinion. Sorry but I hated UB22 since the gameplay was just awful and everything in that game feels so broken. The graphics where crap, and the music was pretty bad as well. The only thing I like about UB22 was the intro.

So, Ultimate Butouden is coming to the DS? While I'm disappointed that we will not see a HD console upgrade, I'm still pretty excited for this game. Here's to hoping the other game is the new console replacement.

The only remarkable thing about Ultimate Butoden that I can glean from this new scan is how it says that you fire special attacks by yelling. I wonder if that literally mean you have to yell into the DS's microphone to use the attacks. I think the thing in the bottom left corner says that next time they'll talk about how to control your ki in the game, but it's cut off so I'm not sure. At any rate, Kuririn there is repeating his line from the early Freeza arc where he tells Gohan to unleash his ki so that they can defeat those two Freeza goons.

That's pretty cool I hope it turns out that you do need to use the mic, I don't think many DS games utilise the mic?
Of course it would mean you couldn't do it in public ...
