General Website Goofs/Errors

Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
Nothing huge, but under "Akira Toriyama died of a heart attack", the site has that "In 2006 Toriyama contributed a new re-design of Mecha Freeza for the arcade/PS2 fighting game Super Dragon Ball Z", which somewhat recently was proven false by the staff here. Was just something small I picked up while reading the guide, sorry any trouble.
Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
Might want to change the translation of 総作画監督 to 'chief animation supervisor' instead of 'chief animator' for consistency...not to mention there is already a separate チーフアニメーター credit. The same goes for the GT section, too.

You must be getting an older cached version of the page because I fixed that a month ago. I'll go purge that page from the cache.FatNagger69 wrote:http://www.kanzenshuu.com/theme/eyecatches/#kai

The main site should automatically pick up your forum login cookie, assuming you're actually logged into the forum at the same time you visit the main site. If it's not, try doing a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) of the main site while you're on the forum in a different tab. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll try to look into it a little deeper.

Yeah, I'm logged into the forum, go the main site and there's no userbox on the right (where it used to be). The comment sections say I need to be logged in. I've cleared the cache, done a hard refresh and still nothing. I'm on Firefox 38, but I've tried IE11 (and also tried both of them in another computer) and the problem remains.Hujio wrote:The main site should automatically pick up your forum login cookie, assuming you're actually logged into the forum at the same time you visit the main site. Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
I noticed that Kanzenshuu uses two different spellings for a character's name. In the Filler Plotholes & Contradictions section the character's name is spelled Dr. Frappe, but in the Episode #42 section the character's name is spelled Dr. Flappe.

Erm, I don't know if it was on purpose, but when you click the episode list feature on the DB Super box thing on the main page, it redirects to the DBGT episode list.

Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
Well, the link on the page is right (episode/super/list/), but it seems that page doesn't technically exist or hasn't been made public at least. We've only got (episode/super/) up on the site. Though seeing how we don't even have a title yet, there isn't much to put there...
Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
Edit: Formatting.
Caught a lot of translation inconsistencies. They're not wrong, they just differ.
Tankobon Subtitles
Tankobon volume #40 is subtitled The Earth Army’s Final Secret Weapon!!, but the chapter it gets that title from, chapter #481, is titled The Earth Army’s Ultimate Secret Weapon!! The Kanji is the same for both.
This page shows tankobon #33 with the subtitle The Cell Game Begins whereas the actual page for T-33 uses The Cell Games Begin. To make things more confusing, chapter 394 listed under T-33's page uses The Cell Games Begin, but the chapter page itself uses The Cell Game Begins.
T-32 doesn't take its name from a single chapter, but seems to fuse C-379's and C-382's together. For consistency's sake should the subtitle of the volume be Cell's Perfect Form, Completed!!, or maybe C-382's title be Perfect Form Achieved!!
This page, this page, and the C-368's title on this page use Cell Creeps Up, but the subtitle for the volume on T-31's main page uses Cell Sneaks Up.
This page and this page (for both the volume's subtitle and chapter's title) use An Evil Premonition, but C-358's page uses A Premonition of Evil.
Dragon Ball Episodes
Edit: I forgot to check the titles for the next episode previews toward the bottom of the page so those will need to be changed as well.
This page says episode #11 is titled Finally, the Dragon Appears!, but the episode's page says At long last, the Dragon Appears!
This page says episode #46 is titled Bulma's Big Mistake, but the episode's page says Bulma's Big Blunder.
This page says episode #48 is titled General Blue Launches His Attack!!, but the episode's page says General Blue Commences His Assault!!
This page says episode #85 is titled Obsessed with Winning!! Preliminary Survival, but the episode's page says Obsessed with Winning!! Survive the Preliminaries.
This page says episode #90 is titled Nanana!! What, a Dodonpa?, but the episode's page says Nanana!! An Unexpected Dodonpa.
This page says episode #108 is titled Piccolo Daimaō Comes Down!!, but the episode's page says Piccolo Daimaō Descends!!
This page says episode #147 is titled Nothing More Can Be Done!!, but the episode's page says It’s All Over!!
Dragon Ball Z Episodes
This page says episode #6 is titled Even Enma-sama is Surprised [break] A Fight in the Afterlife, but the episode's page says Even Enma-sama is Surprised — A Fight in the Afterlife (The first one is missing the dash, or the second one has an unnecessary dash.). The same error occurs with episode #9, episode #12, episode #41, episode #42, episode #55, episode #92, episode #107, episode #117, episode #126, episode #182, episode #201, episode #241, and episode #242.
This page mistakenly gives an extra "!" to Z episode #28's title.
The Bardock TV special listed here is missing the "~" symbols in the title.
This page includes a hyphen in episode #78's title - A Nightmare Super-Transformation!! Freeza’s Battle Power Reaches One Million.
This page says episode #200 is titled It’s Been 7 Years Since That Event! Starting Today, I’m a High School Student, but the episode's page says 7 Years Since That Event! Starting Today, I’m a High Schooler.

Reporting this as a different issue.
I think something is wrong with episode 205's page specifically. It won't toggle between episodes like the rest and the information bar on the right hand side of the page is stuck with a black background.

Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
I've noticed some typos on the following page: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/home-video/na/dbz-tv/dbox/
There's specifically some typos in the titles for episodes 81 and 82, listed on the page as "Piccolo’S Self-Confifence! I Will Be the One to Defeat Freeza" and "Attack, Goku!! An Entaged Freeza’s Second Trnasformation".
Also, many of the episode titles don't quite match how they're presented elsewhere on Kanzenshuu - some use different spellings (i.e. Boo vs. Buu) or slightly different wording/punctuation, and should probably be standardised to match the episode pages elsewhere on the site.
Also, on the guide pages for each manga chapter from chapter #506 onwards, some if not all of the links to the corresponding DBZ/DBKai episode pages are screwed up. They either link to nonexistant pages, or sometimes the Kai link will link to the Z episode with the same episode number instead.

Yeah, that's just the result of merging Daizenshuu EX and Kanzentai. It's planned. Boring grunt work that we haven't had the time to do. Julian's actually made a crazy master spreadsheet of chapter information, so part of that work is done.DisapprovingOwl wrote:Also, many of the episode titles don't quite match how they're presented elsewhere on Kanzenshuu - some use different spellings (i.e. Boo vs. Buu) or slightly different wording/punctuation, and should probably be standardised to match the episode pages elsewhere on the site.
All your listings are super helpful, though .

Found one. If I click on Kai episode 148, it throws me over to Z episode 148. Not sure what does it, but it happens. Also, manually entering in kai, still takes me to Z episode 148. So, I assume in general, trying to access that episode takes you to the Z page.

New goof - on the 'list' version of the Super Episode Guide, clicking on Episode 1 brings you to Kai Episode 1 instead.

Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
Thanks for fixing the previous goof - found one more minor one. In the Theme Guide, on the page for Chōzetsu ☆ Dynamic!, it lists the current animation's usage as Dragon Ball Kai Episodes 1-ongoing - it should presumably read Dragon Ball Super Episodes 1-ongoing.
Also, I'm sure you're already aware and just haven't got to it yet as I know Dragon Ball Super will have created an increased workload for you guys, but eventually some rewriting will be needed on some of the pages in the Rumour Guide. Specifically, both the General Rumours and Movies, TV Specials & Features pages make explicit reference to no new ongoing Dragon Ball series being produced as of yet, which obviously is now no longer the case. This should probably be altered to add a mention of Dragon Ball Super and a link to the series guide.

Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
In the same vein as Kanzenshuu using alternate title pages for chapters 12, 13, 18, 19, and 44, would it be appropriate to describe the title pages used in the tankobon for chapters 65 and 165 as the "definitive version" in so many words? They are exactly the same after all, just with some artwork removed for the kanzenban editions. I guess what I'm getting at is that I feel it would be appropriate for the pages to default to the tankobon title pages instead of the kanzenban in this particular instance.
Also, since chapter 5 has two different versions of the same title page, I think it would be logical to display them both instead of defaulting to the kanzenban's.

Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
A lot of these things are planned at the very least for inclusions in the chapter notes, although not all are up yet. Certainly, those black-and-white title pages from the tankōbon that faithfully reproduce the original version from Jump probably ought to be made the default, but we really need to re-scan them at a larger size first (as Heath apparently lost the original files years upon years ago).Tyro wrote:In the same vein as Kanzenshuu using alternate title pages for chapters 12, 13, 18, 19, and 44, would it be appropriate to describe the title pages used in the tankobon for chapters 65 and 165 as the "definitive version" in so many words? Actually, it will eventually default to the Jump version, although I don't think Heath has had the time to work on it yet. Also, since chapter 5 has two different versions of the same title page, I think it would be logical to display them both instead of defaulting to the kanzenban's.
