Much like Dragon Soul, this will also let us have an opening that possibly takes more into account than just the first episodes, properly showing the enemies and new forms as the story progresses (Majin Boo, Gotenks, Super Saiyan 3, etc... didn't even appear in We Gotta Power, since the opening was made before the whole upcoming plot was known, so it focuses only on Gohan's high school life, Great Saiyaman, Goten and Trunks).
I agree. However, I wouldn't mind it focusing more on the Great Saiyaman/Tournament saga, except for a few shots of the villains (much like Dragon Soul).

Yeah, it looks like they might even keep Kuririn's ploy to distract Boo.

Neat, they're keeping the Goku/Majin Vegeta fight.

Why wouldn't they ? It's one of if not the biggest fight in the series

It was significantly extended in the anime, though. There's no saying that Kai will keep the filler, but the fight itself is in the manga and is central to the plot - it had to be included either way.

I hope that gets cut down massively. Also pretty disappointed to see they didn't cut SS2 Goku vs Pure Buu.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

It seems that Norihito Sumitomo said something about Shunsuke Kikuchi as well in his official website. Can anyone translate it?

I'm not. I freakin' LOVE that little "warm-up" round of theirs, even if only because of how beautifully it's animated and choreographed. Just like the similarly high-quality added part of Goku Vs Vegeta. It'd be such a waste to discard either one.

If either one were done by a lesser studio and looked like garbage (like some other parts of Goku Vs Vegeta do) then I'd probably feel differently.

Believe it or not, the fight is not in the manga, for the most part. I saw the anime first, and when i finally read the manga years later, i was a really surprised and a bit peeved to see that in the manga, almost the entire fight happened off-panel while the story mainly followed Gohan and Kaio-whatever confronting Babidi and Dabra. Rip-off!

So yeah, filler be damned, they better keep the fight in Kai.

What he says about Kikuchi is essentially that the memory of Kikuchi's original score looms over him as huge shoes to fill and that he hopes to do the series justice.

He seems to be kinda nervous and have massive respect for the kikuchi score.

Wait, even if SSJ2 Son Goku versus Pure Buu is filler... why would anyone be sad about it being kept? That fight is UNBELIEVABLY WELL DONE. It's one of the best fights in the saga.
