Kamehamehax10, those are clearly non-representative screen captures from re-encodes by a very specific scumbag ripping group. Please don't bother.

Well, you can't really "steal" screencaps .Rod wrote:I don't get what's the problem with the screencaps
Are they stolen?
They're taken from bootleg encodes that are based on Dragon Box rips of the series. The colors are heavily altered, some slight cropping is done, and the frames are resized from their original resolution. This scumbag group also does dual dub/sub MKV encodes.
Ignoring my beliefs on what these people do, just based on a technical standpoint you really can't use those screens as anything in any kind of comparison.
(Just because I don't support these pieces of trash doesn't mean I don't know what's going on out there and can pick them out of a lineup.)

I think Krillin's being hit by Nappa's blast effect is animated too. It's too bad that they didn't reanimate the Nappa hitting Piccolo on the head, it looked pretty damaged.Hujio wrote:Yes, that's one of the re-animated scenes. The charging ki could have been redrawn much better, since it just loops between two shots. Whereas the original scene goes between three or four shots. Other than that, it looks really good.
Edit: Thought to make a quick Kanzentai style comparison

I'm not sure if that second shot was re-animated, but I'll look when I get home. I've already gone through the episode and picked out all of the re-animated scenes and from what I remember, that wasn't one of them. I've noticed that the remastering has made some scenes less faded, which could be the case here. There was a shot that Kamehamehax10 posted, and later removed, that he listed as being re-animated since you could now see the outline of Goku in the aura as he flies along Snake Road. That outline was there in Z as well, but was very faded and almost blended into the aura. But the remastering process made the difference in contrast much greater so that you can now see his outline clearly.

I just noticed something. Piccolo's blood is red during the fight against Raditz when his arm is blown off, but here his blood is purple. Hmm....SSj_Rambo wrote:This is a preview screen from episode 012, from Fuji TV's DBK site:

I guess it's more proof that they won't be doing much censoring, in this episode at least... for the blood.

His blood being red in Z was just a mistake by the animators, which is why it is cool that they thought to make it purple in Kai.Shiyonasan wrote:I forgot it was purple in Kai! I know it's red in Z though. It's just something I thought I'd point out.Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:His blood was purple in Kai.
