You were wondering about Heroes. I've had the pleasure of playing it. I was trying to get the Freeza card as a souvenir and spent almost 2,000 yen. Then I realized you get a card each time you play, as well. I won a battle from the Saiyan arc, but failed when I was put up against Freeza. The game is pretty cool; you place a card on the screen and that's where the character is located. I even tried sliding the cards around to see the response and was impressed.

I believe I fought with a team of players using the cards I bought. Unfortunately, I forgot I had the Bardock and Trunks cards from the special DVD, and GT Goku from the V-Jump issue that featured a GT poster.

Kirbopher was hilarious. You should have him on more often. Great episode guys. Looking forward to the "post-Thanksgiving episode."

(Btw, the part when Mike told Kirbopher to "get down on your knees" was funny as hell.)

I did respond first on Twitter, but that's okay. I'm not bitter. Not... not at all...

Talking about how the sound of your voices have changed on the podcast got me curious enough to go listen to the first 5 to 10 minutes of the very first podcast and wow is it different. (Julian sounds almost-exactly the same though, he just sounds younger.) It's very interesting. I like seeing how things change over time.

I am curious as to how the Ocean dub of Kai will turn out; even though I prefer watching the show in Japanese with English subtitles, I know I'd definitely want to check out the Ocean Kai just to hear how it sounds.

I was so hoping Toei's advertised "dramatic new info" that was going to be revealed in V-Jump in relation to the movie would give some information about the plot, or clarify some things about the poster; but it looks like I have to wait until at least Jump Festa for that. I hope that some of the people who get in to the panel are able to take notes and post their findings. I know from following OPP's Greg's Jump Festa adventures that you're not allowed to have cameras/recorders in the panels.

The "Cabbit" is presumably a Jackal. And based on its design, it's based on the Egyptian jackal-headed god "Anubis". I could be wrong and it might turn to something else, but that's the closest thing I could think of.

His snout is too short to be a jackhal. He may be based on Anubis, but the animal he represents was changed. A character exactly similar to a "real life" god would have never appeared in the series.

Well, there's Enma Daio.

A character from Japanese folklore very common in Japanese fiction, contrary to Anubis.

God, Anubis, Enma... all figures from folklore/legends... :).

"So when I hear people talking about the Tenkaichi 2 replacement score like it's God's gift to Dragon Ball and I just don't get it."

Well that's just what you get for consistently importing! ...Man I wish we got Kicuchi internationally. And that intro theme is awful.

I...um...liked the Tenkaichi 2 score... It's actually not bad, it's got nice variety compared to UT's bland guitar riffs.

I spotted a few Kirbs in this episode. Kirbopher, Kirby Morrow, Kirby. Quite random to point out, but I remember thinking it.
...Oh yeah, and good episode. Great one, actually. Always nice to hear Kirbopher too. Also, I smiled a lot hearing you talk of the fantastic quality of the Budokai soundtracks. I have to ask though, could you possibly elaborate on how Kirby Morrow got into so much trouble for revealing the Kai Ocean dub information? That sounded pretty serious.

Oh, seconded; I actually want to see how its tracks have been placed in more recent games. Just not fond of the opening theme as an opening theme.

Awesome brought some joy to my heart.
The only problem with the Tenkaichi games was the respective lack of a kick button.

I was excited to listen to the review of the HD versions of Budokai 1 and Budokai 3. Shame they changed the music, I have some fond memories of those songs. While the idea of re-releasing old DBZ games is interesting, I think they missed a trick by not having Budokai 2 to complete the trilogy.

I played Infinite World and after an initial period of question, started playing it and enjoyed it a lot more than the older Budokai games. There are so many older DBZ games that deserve to get some recognition and audience, such as some of the famicom RPGs, the SNES games, etc.

I suppose the kick button in some games works as an interesting type of roleplay where you can do the part where Freeza fights Goku using only his legs. Still, I like the use of a 'melee' button that just does a generic attack of sorts. Like in the anime where you just see characters waving their hands and feet in a blur of motion.
