I'm talking more about reactions of people in other cities on Earth (Upa's village, Karin's Tower, West City, etc.), or reactions on planets like Namek.
Showing a floating rock in space we know nothing about (is it even inhabited?) being vaporized isn't the same thing at all.
They definitely should have shown Namekians reaction to whats happening.
A Lunch cameo when she's robbing a bank would be great too.

I doubt we'll ever see Lunch again unless there is a good portion of an episode in Super that focuses on Tien.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

The DB Super explanation for what the heck happens with SSG: Beerus says Goku's "fully merged with the power [of SSG] and made it your own". Beerus continues: "God's crimson radiance still blazes inside you like a flame" . Goku says he "doesn't feel any weaker", in contrast to BoG where Beerus says he's powered down.
Credit for all this goes to Mr. Herms.

So according to herms "Whis denies that he's capable of stopping Beerus and Goku's power clash from destroying the world." ,what the hell toei ,what now whis is weaker then both of them ,really toei ,and then people say toriyama does to many Inconsistent smh
That was actually a really good episode! Definitely better than last weeks.
The animation was great! That bit where Super Saiyan Goku and Beerus began to fight at the end of the episode looked fantastic. Mr Satan was awesome throughout the episode. I loved that scene where Piccolo grabbed Whis and Vegeta shot a blast between the two of them to break it up. Badass Vegeta is Badass.
Really fun episode overall. The new ending is great as well, probably as good as the previous one.

No you get the wrong idea, its not that he cant stop them. He cant stop the destruction of the world by their power clash.

He could be bullshitting. Goku denied being able to beat Fat Boo, but later said he could. I'd wait til later and see if they never mention Whis' superiority as if 100% Beerus is what it took to stop the universe from blowing up, then Whis can do that no problem.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

well that makes more sens ,but still he should be powerful enough and fast enough to go there and one shot both of them.
Zombie wrote:I just don't understand why they couldn't leave that shit out.
Because it's an important part of the story (Goku absorbing the god powers).
It is an important part of the narrative, but that doesn't mean that it had to be done the exact same way. Goku could have fought the whole battle in Super Saiyan God, and the fight could have ended with him exhausted and the time limit expiring. The comment about him keeping the power could have still easily been made and there wouldn't have been a need for the potentially confusing situation of why Goku was a Super Saiyan without it being blue.
EDIT: Not entirely sure why Goku's Super Saiyan form will transition into SSGSS in Super though. According to Herms' summary, when Goku dropped out of god mode, he for certain lost his god ki. Not sure just having the battle power he did as a god should make the form blue... lol

Thats because according to Whis's personality, he is not going to intervene in between when beerus is fighting.
By all means pls do, at the end of the day I'm pretty sure he got delayed and didnt wait for Beerus to finish what he was saying, true he said that after nullifying the universal shockwave but later said now he doesnt care anymore and just wants to beat Goku no matter how uncool he looks, I guess u dont know what "haku pacento" means.
I certainly will. He's pretty much the best translator (or at least one of the best) this site has to offer.
Read the summary and I hate to be the one to say it but... I told you so
