2016 Dragon Ball Predictions

Well with the year ending soon, what are your Dragon Ball Predictions for 2016? Here's mine:

1 - Buu saga Kai airs on Toonami in late 2016
2 - Funimation does not dub Super and we have to wait until 2017
3 - New movie announced for 2017 in July 2016
4 - Xenoverse 2 and Extreme Butouden 2 announced
5 - Universe 6 will last from January until April then a new story arc starts
6 - More crazy stuff in Dragon Ball Heroes like SSj4 Gotenks, SSj4 Trunks, Bebi Cell, Majin Beerus, Super Buu absorbing Super Yi Xing Long or whatever AF stuff that they can dig up.

3 - I am really hoping for that one. Tuesday will be the magical day.
4 - Sooner or later will happen. Xenoverse was a step in the right direction and the best DBZ game and by far in the last years.
5- Don't know how long will last, but I'm expecting Universe 6 to be a big arc. Just like the tournament in Buu arc was just the beginning. I'm also hoping Toriyama writes another one.
6 - It's a given.

Toonami will air the Buu arc in the Fall.

A new console game will be announced during E3.

A new movie will be announced in July.

Toyotaro's Manga adaption of Super will hopefully start a new arc in March or April.

The Full Color DB manga will hopefully be done by December.

More Heroes characters will be announced throughout the year.

A word from Toie or Toriyama about how long Super will last.

5 - Universe 6 will last from January until April then a new story arc starts

Maybe a new part of the larger Gods arc but I doubt any major theme change will happen till mid 2016 at least. Really hard to tell Toei/Toriyama's "game plan" atm. Do they want to finish the Gods arc in around 50-60 episodes and then start a completly new one as it happened in DBZ or they wanna milk the Gods theme for 100+ episodes? Do they even have an intention of creating a nother major arc after the Gods one? Gonna be very interesting year, perhaps by mid 2016 we will know more long-term plans for the franchise

I'm looking at my old predictions from last year. I did get some stuff right (Vegeta with blue hair, Gokû and Vegeta rooming together as Whis' students, F's animation ending up not so good--though I guess that one's subjective, the faster U.S. theater and home releases for F than for BOG, the continuation of there just not being much ssjg Gokû merch) but everywhere else I was off the mark.

I actually thought a new Weekly Jump title was going to replace Kai; I didn't see Super coming at all. I also thought we were going to get to see baby Bra too (via the F movie), but she's still a no-show. I'm still wondering if Toriyama just forgot about her.

So! My predictions for 2016 are:
-Super gets to keep running so long as that huge bump in merch sales (that I read about in that other thread) continues riding high
-They will cover some of Gokû and Vegeta's training in the RoSaT, but not nearly enough to satisfy me (like we'll get maybe a whole episode and then some short scenes scattered about in the two episodes after that).
-The rumored names of the characters on Team Champa are probably correct, it's just no one bothered to take pictures at Jump Festa because they were disappointed at the character designs.
-Mystery Saiyan is either Uni 6 Vegeta, OR Uni 6 Vegeta's son.
-Mystery Saiyan's aesthetic points to Uni 6 Planet Vegeta being essentially Space Sparta in terms of its aesthetics and culture.
-Still gonna hope for a Uni 6 Prince Vegeta and Princess Kakarrotto because I've got nothing to lose. As a 2nd place I'll also accept Prince Kakarrotto and Princess Vegeta.
-The tournament gets interrupted, leading to an arc where we actually get to explore Uni 6.
-That domed tournament ring is a trap. Champa wants to trap them all inside there so he can run off and do something evil without anyone to stop him.
-At some point we will get that white-haired blueper saiyan 2 form because we're never done with new forms unfortunately no matter what Toriyama says.
-A new DB movie with the Super logo gets announced; movie premieres in Japan in December of 2016. Is probably an adaption of the Uni 6 arc, but maybe we'll get lucky and have an actual brand new storyline.
-We're still not gonna get to see baby Bra. Toriyama forgot about her or just doesn't care.
-Monaca's got a transformation; it'll either be a Genkai from YYH type (where the character gets younger and more fit) OR a Janenba type (where the character looks cooler afterward) OR it'll be yet another gag (a pallet swap like blueper only even less noticable).
-There will be a Xenoverse 2
-More "transformations for all the OCs" happen in DBHeroes (I expect blueper Beat by the end of next year), yet no ssj2/3 for Goten, no ssj at all for Pan, no ssjg Vegeta.
And I'll end with:
-Gokû continues to compliment/try-to-get-close-to Vegeta-senpai in Super and continues to fail; this is the only area in which Gokû continues to have overwhelmingly bad luck.

July 2012, we had BOG announced and July 2014 had ROF announced. I think it's very likely that July 2016 will give us something. Maybe a movie could be the final episode in Super.

I think Super will definitely be dubbed in 2016. Plus, another Dragon Ball movie and video game will be announced. I'm honestly not sure about what's gonna happen with the FUNi dub of Buu Kai, to be honest. I'm hoping it gets released in 2016, but I'm not hopeful.

I think Buu Saga Kai will probably air in 2016. When Kai return on Toonami in 2014, Funimation most likely sign a deal with Toonami to have all of the episodes air in order. They probably dub all of the episodes of Buu saga Kai in advance so that Toonami can air them good to go. It's also up to Toei on what happens to Super in the US going by Jason DeMarco said on ask.fm.

I would not be upset if Super gets a late dub in the US. Most Dragon Ball fans I talked too and seen have not seen the show yet. So far only the hardcore fans like us are watching it while the casuals are waiting for it. Reminds me of the good old days when casual fans had to wait for the other movies and GT to be dubbed while the other fans seen them all already. Remember when you would be like "Yeah I seen GT and I know what happens!" and you had all of the cool kids follow you around. Good times .

Dragon Ball Super will continue throughout the entire year and a new animated film will be announced for December 2016 or April 2017. They're safe bets, but...uh...I play it safe!
