Anyone else likes to collect and compare various Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT dubs :)?
I like to compare dubs and lately I've gotten this hunger to collect various Dragon Ball GT dubs. So I wonder, do you guys know any websites to get the various Dragon Ball sites in the many dubs of this planet?
Re: Anyone else likes to collect and compare various Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT dubs :)?
I enjoy comparing the Japanese dub with the Uncut Funi English dubs. The Uncut Funi dub of DB/Z/GT, movies and Specials are not bad and sometimes either dub conveys a certain scene with better "flare" than the other. I just compare those two dubs thou.
"Good luck, Kakarrot... You are the Champion!!" Vegeta DBZ ShonenJump Manga Volume 26 p.113
I'm reviewing Dragon Ball! Both the Jap ver. and Uncut Funi Dub! Check out the thread: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... =6&t=31208

A lot of people do, especially when we're talking about quirky, rare, or (officially) unreleased material.
Retired.

As a big fan of Brain Drummond and Scott McNeil as Vegeta and Piccolo, and having grown up on that specific dub, I like collecting Westwood material.
I also like comparing the translations of the Blue Water dubs of DB and GT to Funimation's. Although the casting and acting usually weren't as good, the translation is often more accurate. For example, in their dub of OG Dragon Ball, Goku refers to his pole as the Nyoi'bo, and in episode 1, he introduces himself to Bulma as "Goku. Well, Son Goku actually." which is nice.

The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

Awesome, maybe people could drop links here on where to buy different dubs
?
I'll start by Selecta Vision's Dragon Ball GT release:
http://www.selecta-vision.com/Home-Ente ... -box-1-DVD
Yamato Video's Italian DBGT release:
http://www.yamatovideo.com/catalogo_int ... osUscite=0
The french release is so bad I don't even want to list it...

I'm doing this with Japanese Batman (live-action included), pretty much as an evaluation of foreign VO & dubbing, which is part of why I go back to watch DB in Japanese (aside from the dub being what it is). The Japanese dubs of Andrea Romano's works are incredibly high-quality & feature the likes of Genda, Aono, Nakao, Chiba, Otsuka Akio/Hochu, Ginga, Naya (both!), Utsumi, Inoue, Ishizuka, Okawa, & many other legendary Japanese VAs.
...I'm definitely disappointed it doesnt work the other way around 99.9% of the time.
I haven't seen the Big Green etc, dubs of DB yet, but from what I've seen, the LatAm dub is solid AF.
I haven't bought the Mexican DVD's yet, but they're on my hit list at some point. I may check out other dubs eventually.
