Budokai, for all reasons explained in the Budokai vs Sparking topic.

EDIT: Em, since it is your own post, don't you think you should mention your favourite fighting series?

Taiketsu!

Kidding.

Anyway, I'd say the Budokai series. From what little I've played of each, it just seems more intricate and enjoyable than Sparking.
Dragon Ball ended in 1997.

Its a tie between Butoden2 and Hyper Dimension. *cross fingers for a remake of both* :P

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Super DBZ can be considered a "spiritual" successor to Hyper Dimension.

I like the Dragon Ball Z games made by Dimps so far. It just seems they are
the best for Dragon Ball games. They proved it with Dragon Ball Z 3 & Advance Adventure. I never liked Spikes series of games for the lack of facial expressions, akward camera angles, & controls. I would rather have fluid animation & facial expressions over a definitive look & character battle damage any day. Though all would be best. I can not really comment on the Butoden series since I was not a fan of that day & age.

If Hyper Dimension was slightly faster and has a few more characters (and maybe a damn story mode that didn't start at the Furiza saga), it would be my absolute favourite.
... Maybe later.

Haipa Daimensionnu!

Hyper Dimension rules all, best character design and sound, effects etc. for being a Super NES game.

I have the Budokai 1 and 2 games, and they don't feel like Dragonball Z to me. Haipa Dimensionnu had that unique movepool for the characters, while Budokai just had the same shit for all characters, the same combos and just one (sometimes two) unique attack for a greater character.
Good people last longer!

Super dbz isn't more a series than ub22 or DBZ lengends, so if you put super dbz there, I'd say DBZ Legends.

You do realise that japanese words can end on a plain "n", yes?

And it's "ハイパー ディメンション" Or "haipaa dimenshion" unless I'm terribly mistaken. <.<;;

Budokai, hands down.

I love Super Butoden and Hyper Dimension as much as the next guy, but the Budokai series was the only series to get everything right on a high average.

Its a tie between Budokai 3 and Super, though I seem to be the only one who likes Super.

I'd say Budokai, unlike some other game series (which shall rename nameless) that made DBZ games these guys learned from their mistakes and kept getting better and better, and as technolog went up, funnily enough, so did the number of people who liked it!

I think Sparking! is the best. The other one where just side scrolling and only needed button mashing to win, but in Sparking! you could not do that to win.

I understand that in Sparking! there could be tactical ways to defeat an enemy rather than pressing one button in a continous motion (though that is pretty much optional in the game itself), but just didn't feel like a DBZ game despite the whole 3rd person perspective. Everything just feels....meh. Like another forum member has mentioned, "Dragon Ball Z 3" is the only game so far where I felt like I was playing DBZ. From the slick presentation to the ki effects & fluid animations. Everything just felt right.

Including watching the same animations over and over (Dragon Rush).

And it's not like Sparking didn't have repetitive animations

Super Dragonball Z was my favorite, now that is a traditional arcade fighter a lot better than the "Press Square a lot and you win" logic behind Budakai. Though Budakai is fun for it's characters.
