I wonder why myself.SSJ2bardock wrote:A lot of people think Sabat is a sub-par voice actor, hmmmmm wonder why they keep giving him all these jobs.....
But then that's the wonder of personal opinions for ya! Someone obviously thinks he's doing a good job, so fair play to the man, even if I can't stand most of his voice work.

Because they had a limited pool of actors and a limited budget.JulieYBM wrote:...Because he's not?SSJ2bardock wrote:A lot of people think Sabat is a sub-par voice actor, hmmmmm wonder why they keep giving him all these jobs.....
I've said this a million times and I'll say it again, Sabat is a poor character actor, he simply doesn't have to vocal range for it, his comfort zone rests in the lower registers of his voice, and when he steps out of there, his performances range from laughable, to unbearable. Compare him to someone like Billy West or Maurice Lamarshe and it's like watching someone with no arms, legs or natural buoyancy, try to compete in the 50m Olympic freestyle.
That said, I do think that when Sabat is cast properly, he can do a fine job, in One Piece for example, I think he does a great job as Zoro, primarily because he was cast properly and more importantly within his ability, which simply wasn't the case with Dragonball.

I think some people here are just jaded about the way Dragonball turned out in the US and they can't bring themselves to admit that maybe Sabat has some talent as a voice actor.
I mean seriously I asked, "If he's so terrible then why does he keep getting work?" and people came back with things like he's got leverage within the business and limited pools of talent.
I'm not saying anyone here is wrong, I just think it's hilarious that nobody could bring themselves to admit that he keeps getting jobs because he's a good actor when he's not rasping away about saiyan pride or inert balls.
