Well, mine is self-explanatory enough, but there's a story behind this one: it was actually made just for me!
So, Steven Perry (yes, Steven Perry, we're getting old-school here; anyone remember him?) decided that the avatar I was using at the time was "uuuuuggggly", so he fashioned me this new one, which I believe (he never said) was taken from the Jumpland website. Then he added glowing red Terminator eyes.
And that's awesome.
And it will probably stay my avatar forever, 'cuz it's just so cool.
Though, admittedly, while he made it for me in 2006, I didn't get around to using it until late 2008, when I returned to the forum after a loooooong hiatus.

I've always been fascinated with this symbol. I started a little thread about it a while back.DBHighDefinition wrote:Mines the Royal Saiyan Crest, as worn by King Vegeta.
I always though it was an awesome design, like the Ginyu Force's logo.
I guess this is the most official image of it there is; from DragonBall Z Son Goku Densetsu:
Great avatar choice! If I were to ever make a family crest or symbol, that Saiya-jin symbol would be the foremost background image! *NERD*

I've always had a bizarre fascination and love/hate relationship with GT, and I tend to use GT characters for avatars fairly often. This avatar is one of my favorites; I love the artwork of Goku, Pan, and Trunks that it's from. I think it's one of Toriyama's GT pieces, in fact.

SO CASH, BRAH.
EDIT: You bastard.
I wonder if new members will find this thread three years from now and have no idea what we're talking about.

Yeah, it was originally drawn for a Weekly Jump telephone card, but wasn’t used by mistake, and so was first published in Daizenshuu 7.SSj Kaboom wrote:This avatar is one of my favorites; I love the artwork of Goku, Pan, and Trunks that it's from. I think it's one of Toriyama's GT pieces, in fact.

I knew pretty instantly that I wanted my avatar to be of the smokin' hot Piccolo (aaaaha, I made a funny. but oh my god he's hot.) from Taka Fusamichi's AUN books. So I hunted through my sizeable collection of doujin scans from that series until I found a good one that sized down well. And that's the story.
Most other places, I just use a picture of my main muse Lute, typically his face looking silly.

I saw No Country For Old Men a few months ago and I really enjoyed the movie. Say what you will about the ending but you gotta admit Anton is a pretty badass character. Second only to Daniel Plainview.
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

Well, I really got into the anime of Great Teacher Onizuka, and a while back watched all the episodes of the live-action series on Youtube (I know.... bad me, but I didn't have much choice.... I'd buy the DVDs if they would release them here. ). It was good, but what really made it shine was Takashi Sorimachi. The man was hilarious in it. So, that's him. I wonder how many people here recognized him?
Yo! Cal's the name. Nice to meet you!

I drew mine. It was actually the main character of my first animated film in college. It's obviously DB inspired and I'm still damn proud of my 45 second short. I doubt I'll ever change it....maybe.
Who knows, maybe I'll update it so that it looks like I can actually draw now : P
