Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
What do you guys think of the chances (that is, if this ever comes out) that Ian James Corlett is back as Goku?
Non-existent. Besides the fact that a Kanzenshuuer with inside connections already confirmed that it's a new guy, Corlett has said that he'll never work for Ocean again because of how ...

Are any of the Kai dubs directly translated off the JP ver?

Well, this pretty much confirms that Season 1´s remastering base is the Levels´ set of masters.
Also, Kai shows what Toei could do if they wanted to.

Looks like Season 2 is indeed an improvement. I prefer OB´s Season 1 color scheme though. Too bad, because those had the disappearing lines and not such thorough restoration.

They obviously didn't considering the different colors, framing and lack of vanishing lines.[/quote]
You mean original telecine and all? Does anyone know if framing is typically done at telecine stage?

Re: Dragon Ball Z "Seasons" On Blu-ray: News & Discussion
Could it be that MAYBE, just maybe, they used just the OB masters? Why would otherwise have had the series remastered at 1080p resolution if they just used it for a 480p release?
BTW, could anyone do a OB vs. BD comparison of the filler scene where Bulma takes a bath and Dr. Briefs tells him that ...
