Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Boo's energy can't be taken by Moro's magic. That's why Moro's fire could hurt Vegeta but not Boo. Moro explained himself that he doesn't only take the planets energy for his magic, but from the people on the planet as well. That's why Vegeta was tired right after his fight with Moro. He was ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Decent chapter.
What I liked:
Vegeta's plan to restore Namek isn't just great because it shows his development, it's great because it gives some actual weight to Moro's merciless slaughtering of the Namekians. I appreciate villains like King Piccolo for this exact reason; an antagonist's goals ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I don't think any of you are bored of any of the characters. You're bored of he writing of everything around them. There's so much depth to Vegeta as a character, and Goku has so much meaning in being the ur-example of the shonen idiot hero but done well. I don't believe anyone who says they'd ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Goku and Vegeta are easily the best characters in the series, and perhaps even all of shonen. There aren't many rivalry dynamics that play to the strengths of the genre quite as well as theirs consistently has; without Goku, Vegeta would lose a lot of the context for his growth as a character, and ...

Re: Is DBS: Broly overrated?
Not at all. The animation complements the movie, but it doesn't "elevate" the script per se; the script is fantastic all on its own and I've posted at length about why I think it's probably the most thematically focused story in modern Dragon Ball ( Battle of Gods suffers from too many instances of ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I do not think the reason for the darker colors is the quality of the image.
Regardless, you might notice that everything in that back cover (including the more recent photo you posted) has a dark blue tint to it, so of course the filter would naturally extend to Vegeta's hair.
I'm not even ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
On the back cover of Volume 4 (which shows Zamasu and SSB Vegetto), Vegetto's hair (SSB) is also much lighter than Vegeta's hair on the back cover of Volume 9
Flawed comparison. The colors in general are much darker on the image of Volume 9's back cover, likely due to the photo quality.
There ...

Not impressed by the colors or aura effects at all, looks like an amateurish photoshop job. The poses used for Goku and Jiren are great though.

Beerus is definitely in character.
I was just about to post this myself.
Beerus' plan to kill Zamasu was directly in response to what Whis said, and Whis specifically said their world ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Irrelevant nonsense?
Did I stutter?
Let's break this down, arc by arc:
Beerus never "protects" Goku when confronting Zamasu in the manga. Goku isn't even there, my dude. It's also made crystal clear that Beerus' whole reason for taking action, at least in that medium, was because Whis ...

Wait, so suddenly things don't count as character development if the narrative doesn't make a big deal and point out that it's development?
That's not what I said. I specifically said a lot of your examples stem from Beerus' development during the BoG arc and were not necessarily cases of ...

Erasing Zamasu? Him showing his care of Goku and co? His steadily growing respect and politeness towards the Z Fighters? Him realizing that he needs to shape up?
This is why I don't like to engage with users who gloss over what I said instead of addressing what I actually said, particularly when ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
No, that's not the point at all.
It absolutely is the point.
Beerus' contribution to the movie amounts to re-emphasizing the same traits we've been exposed to throughout the entirety of Super. That's it. There was zero implied motivation to inferfere in that fight if "things went south", just ...

he showed relief that everything worked out, suggesting that he would have done something if things went too far south.

Re: You know the fandom here isn't that much better than the dub-only fans or the power-levelers
I still find absolutely nothing wrong with power scaling discussions, provided that people understand it's not that serious and that the creators involved don't think about it nearly as much as the fans (although, depending on the subseries and medium, some appear to be more consistent than others ...

Re: Vic Mignogna
I thought he did a rather good job as Broly during the quieter scenes, and even a lot of his screaming scenes carried the nuance of a tortured character. I don't think there should be any questioning that, at the very least, Vic took the role very seriously.
With that said, I doubt it'd be hard to ...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
The point of Goku's past - and by extension, his relationship with Bardock and Gine - was definitely to parallel and contrast with Broly's.

Thanks again for all the hard work, the new adjustments are so much easier on the eyes. I'm sure there might still be a few kinks to work out, but I'm actually starting to prefer this layout over the old one now.

Can confirm that clearing the cache fixed the auto-scrolling issue on my end.
Appreciate the help and hard work, Hujio.
Edit: Not sure if I "confirmed" too soon, still experiencing problems on that front but they seem less frequent now. Maybe a browser compatibility issue? I'm using Chrome.
