Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie #2 Thread: "Super Hero"
So I saw the dub for Super Hero earlier in the week and will echo pretty much everything I've seen said about the CGI ultimately not being as much as a concern as it had been when I first heard it was a CGI film coming off of the style of Broly. - It arguably did feel slightly clunky right at the st...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie #2 Thread: "Super Hero"
I'm pretty stoked as I'm booked in to see the english dub tomrorow here in the UK. I saw broly at the cinema's here, but from all I'd heard back at the premier for Super Hero in japan, the cinematic experience for it was way better. slightly bummed out I couldn't resist the spoilers for two months, ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 85 - Official Discussion Thread
If Gas has aged though I'm not sure if it was due to Elec wishing for a continuous growth thing. I had said before with Granolah during some of the earlier chapters that perhaps it would be an active wish that would continually adjust. But am unsure. This is because of the dialogue from Elec about h...

Re: Dragonball Super doesn't feel like Dragonball
I mean, people like you also complain about the FT arc ending, even though it was the most original and unprecedented ending for any DB storyline ever. If that ending was a copy-paste of DBZ, it would have stopped at ep. 66 (hero kills the villain with really strong big attack, uses Dragon Balls to...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 84 - Official Discussion Thread
Whilst I don’t like the wish, everyone is stretching and saying it was active until he was an adult etc. Is the implication not present that the thriving of them was merely surviving the destruction of planet Vegeta. If that’s the case then I think it’s fine since it hasn’t taken away any agency of ...

Is Beerus just Yujiro Hanma?
I've been watching a lot of Baki recently (done in reverse thanks to watching the Netflix shows first and now on the OG stuff). It got me thinking of how Beerus has been unlike any other DB character who had been established by that point in that he was always a benchmark that couldn't be overcome a...

Re: Opinion of Monna from Universe 4 and other fighters in the Universes without Saiyans
Really most of the ToP warriors have not stood the test of time. U6 Saiyan girls were clear highlights but ignoring Saiyans. Trio De Dangers I personally loved. But unfortunately they had a far better showing in the Zen Exhibition than ToP. I think I would've liked it better if there was payoff to G...

The most underrated DB Games - Origins
We all know the most popular and sometimes overrated/ or rated accurately games the DB franchise have spawned. But I rarely ever see any love for the most criminally underrated games DB has ever seen. that is DB origins and Origins 2. I think they were such a refreshing direction for the franchise t...

Re: All Bulma has left are old lady jokes
I have no issue with a the Zuno Gag of Bulma's bust, she's spoiled vain and superficial, as well as being a fierce independent intellectual power house. She had been giving Jaco a lot of crap and got joy from making idle threats about Vegeta wrecking him etc, was just some amusing comeuppance that s...

If I'm reading that 2021 Poll Correctly there were only those 25 characters that could be voted on? So I mean of course Goku Black beats Cell & Buu there since they were not options. Frieza, who is the most popular DBZ villain and is alive in the storyline, was in the poll but couldn't come clo...

Re: Feeling dissillussioned about this fandom
I don't think sayings are meant to be taken literally so I'm not sure if they are ableist. Not heard of touch grass, but I didn't take it to be literal there more just an unplug yourself from the toxicity of the fandom. Like touch base, despite its baseball implications doesn't necessarily apply to ...

It's cool I guess... but does anyone else think Bardocks face feels off, like it belongs to some different character. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
I always had the theory that only the corrupted half of Zamasu grew in power. Watch the Vegetto fight again, every significant hit Zamasu lands on him is with his corrupted arm. Trunks also only overpowers the ki blade Zamasu did, which is on his left side. That's true, and it would make sense. But...

Re: Sorrow and Melancholy
I think we just feel the sorrow isn't there with the hindsight when everything ends up okay. I would like to see the reaction on this forum if the Saiyan Saga aired for the first time now, having all the Z team dying, with Chiaotzu seemingly unable to come back. The dragonballs disappearing. In Kai ...

Re: Would Goku Go SSJ If Bulma Died instead of Krillin?
Goku's interactions with Piccolo were fighting him in the 23rd TB, teaming up out of necessity to save Gohan and then seeing him on Namek. Whilst he told Gohan that Piccolo wasn't that bad really (Which Gohan relays to Piccolo), and is undoubtedly very grateful he saved Gohan from Nappa's attack. I ...

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
SSJ1 Cabba (ToP) vs Frost (ToP) Frost got far stronger than before, to the point of being able of fighting equally against SSJ1 Vegeta, and to the point that he received a compliment from Hit, saying that he made him act a bit more seriously against him. Cabba, on the other hand, was beaten by Monn...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie #2 Thread: "Super Hero"
The only thing Broly ignored from the anime is Kaioken but it would have been useless against SS Broly so it's not a big deal. The points I mentioned are clear contradictions to the manga. Frieza doesn’t know fusion what’s so ever and Vegeta was using SSG something the anime never had him do. Him n...

Re: Does Cell get a near-death power-up boost after using the Namekian regeneration ability?
I don't think so. Regeneration makes most, if not all of these cases pretty minor injuries. The Namekian regeneration weakens users, it takes up a lot of energy. I feel it would've been noted if Cell was stronger when Gohan faced him after Goku's IT Kamehameha. Yet it is odd that this didn't count ...

Re: Does Cell get a near-death power-up boost after using the Namekian regeneration ability?
Basically, if his body doesn't recognize the damage as "fatal", then it's not a near death experience, so it doesn't prompt a zenkai. Cell's life wasn't threatened by the injuries delivered by the Final Flash or the Instant Kamehameha, so he didn't get stronger by that. But he admited tha...
