Sean S. is now officially dead to me for supporting the movement that says "Trust and believe. No questions asked." I never (and I mean, NEVER) dreamed that the #MeToo Movement could poison the DB franchise for me, but it sadly did. Don't let the door hit you on your way out. I won't, and I hope Al...

Another way to get the films in fullscreen, Japanese, and no molesting (removal of middle fingers and DNR): Look for 16mm or 35mm prints of the films from film collectors.

Re: Dragon Ball Movies HD Remaster - Amazon Video/Netflix Japan - Discussion Thread
I suggest we give Toei the middle finger by not supporting their products ever.
Toei has always been a shitty-as-fuck studio. Only studio in Japan to throw away the original audio masters for one.

Re: Dragon Ball Movies HD Remaster - Amazon Video/Netflix Japan - Discussion Thread
So why did Toei keep middle fingers on Amazon but not on Blu-Ray? Anything we can do so Toei will get the hint?

Hey guys, I just recently found out about this. Are the middle fingers kept on the amazon streaming versions? Why would they keep the middle fingers on those versions (if true), but not the blu-ray?
This is an all-time new low for Toei.

Another question about the NEPs (Next Episode Previews)
Isn't it true that on the current Fuji TV of DB/DBZ/DBGT, the previews for the next episodes are in the order they were originally shown in (previews first, then credits) as opposed to the Dragon Boxes?

Re: Dragon Ball Kai Green Tint
Kei17 (who posted in this thread) said that the reason why some Kai episodes look better than others is because those episodes in particular were shot using 35mm film stock.

Re: Watch the pilot episode of Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon and Tiger Mask on TOEI's YouTube Channel
Not sure if I'd call the first episode of DB a pilot. Kei17 brought up several times how there was a pilot that was used for the voice casting auditions. I believe clips from this pilot were used in commercials for the show that aired on the finale of Dr. Slump . First I've read about that. Looks a...

I've often said that if Yamamoto had stuck to arranging, and didn't move on to composing, he wouldn't be fired. He'd be working on Dragon Ball Super and the latest Dragon Ball movies.

Video Game character that look like DB characters (non-Toriyama examples)
Here's an interesting topic I had in mind. What are some Video Game characters that make you think of characters from the franchise? I'm not talking about characters from games in which Toriyama did the artwork (i.e. Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger ). Two of them come to mind. First up, is the main ...

Toei was the only studio in Japan to throw away their original audio masters.
This video sums them up perfectly.

Re: Anime that have lots of Dragon Ball Alumni (In Japanese)
It all depends on which agency represents the Animes. Apparently, all of these shows had Aoni Production representing them.
And how about the Japanese versions of Hideo Kojima's games since 1992's PC Engine CD version of Snatcher? Those have voice actors from Aoni Production, too.

Re: General dubbing debate thread
According to my newspapers.com research, it would appear that the Harmony Gold dub only aired in a total of two markets: Philadelphia for the combined edit of movies 1 and 3 during Christmas weekend 1989, and in Detroit for the five "test episodes" of the series during the first week of 1990.

I read on GameFAQs that he has yet to do so. I fear that failure to do so will land his ass in jail.

Re: When will we get a new Japanese Goku VA?
Doesn't the replacement have to be from the same agency? In the case of Dragon Ball, it is Aoni Production.
Also, who knew? Aoni Production is Japanese for Blue Two Productions.
