Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
So he knows absolutely nothing and just posted some vague bs to get clicks. As posted above, October is when it would have to start to come back this year and they would have announced that if it was the case seeing as how it’s September 14th in japan already. Not to mention this is the guy who use...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
Imagine believing YOUTUBERS over the actual animation studio. Why would they outright tell everyone a movie is in the works but deny the anime? You guys realize animes are announced way before they air right? Attack on titan final season was announced over a year before it will end up airing and th...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
What happened to the upcoming movie during all of this? All we had on that was a producer saying it's gonna happen eventually. No sort of official announcement or anything. But jeez, what a huge mess. I don't believe it was a misunderstanding, considering all the different parts involved, but likel...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
Yeah, at this point I'm finding an SDCC announcement very unlikely. They seem more worried about this dumb Kamehameha world record.
Anyway, Super wasn't announced at an event. We're all expecting that but it could come anytime in the shape of a press release and that's it.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
Don't forget that the manga is still going strong. Whether you enjoy it or not, it continues to tell the Dragon Ball Super story every month, and it generates quite a bit of money in sales (the volumes are top sellers every time). It is absolutely a possibility that the anime has been dropped in fa...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
Again they are not doing the first announcement of a new series/movie at a foreign event, it will be announced in japan first That really doesn't need to be the case these days. The new Akira series, for instance, was just announced in a LA event. Dragon Ball is a Japanese property, sure, but it's ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
Even though the Moro arc is lackluster to many, I think I prefer the anime coming back way after the manga took off with it's own story. I enjoyed having two different versions of DBS but I'm ready now to follow the manga like with the original run. Even if the manga took off with it's own story, i...

It seems this is indeed the "official" version now lol. Staff was moved to Stampede because they needed to finish the movie on time.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
Well, the Vegas licensing expo is ending and nothing new for the franchise was said, no bombshells. Toei must be fully aware how they're just messing with the fanbase at this point lol.

Not to add fuel to the fire, but...at this point, I think Geekdom is alluding to "something's happening anytime now" only because he saw that Toei licensing expo tweet possibly implying something, really. Way to save face. Lol nah, a couple of couple peoples even myself knows and have hea...

https://mobile.twitter.com/ToeiAnimation/status/1136005302698987520 1. The Expo ends in Thursday, doesn't it? 2. When does Dragon Ball usually announce their new content during the Expo? 3. Should I expect a trailer or some pictures or something? 4. Anything video game (not heroes) related? 5. Wher...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
The characters look and act exactly the same from DBS episode 1 to DBS episode 131. Not really growth at all, considering this series in the past constantly had growth and the characters changing. Changes and character development aren't the same thing, though. A series like One Piece has solid cha...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
I think the talkshow has the main purpose of promoting the homevideo release of Broly's movie. An announcement about a new season or a new movie would be promoted in a more resonant way, in my opinion. I hope i'm wrong! (as far as I'm concerned) there isn't anything special about the DVD I ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
Just throwing this out there, someone on Reddit pointed out that the Dragon Ball Tour site has been updated with a "Movie" tab that's greyed out and can't be clicked. https://www.db-tour.com/ I mean, if they were working on another movie, it'd explain the silence on announcing the return ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
It's worth mentioning that Kitaro's rating average is fairly lower than DBS' was, for what's worth it. In fact, One Piece is also doing worse recently, which could be credited to a less popular lead-in - maybe. But yes, when included live ratings + DVR viewing DBS was always in the top 5, sometimes ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread
I wouldn't say they're unrelated. Whole reason his manga exists is because of the anime. Besides, some designs are his and the anime started crediting him, even the movie does. They're all part of the same project.
