Re: The Size of Planet Earth
from... lol
I'm pretty sure the radius of our earth is only 6,000km.
Our earth was once a single continent too, y'know. Doesn't mean the size was any different. People need to stop trying to lowball Dragon Ball's power with these baseless headcanons that things are smaller.
Toriyama stated ...

The Size of Planet Earth
Are there any official statements, maps, interviews, etc, confirming whether or not Dragon Ball's planet Earth is the same size as ours?
I was just thinking, given that DB's Earth only has one continent, which seems pretty easy and quick to get around on, maybe their Earth is smaller than ours ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
Speaking of, how do you deal with the fact that there have been no Super Saiyans in a thousand years among a warrior race that lives to get stronger?
I attribute it to the fact that Saiyans never got strong enough to ever ascend to the form. Vegeta was the strongest of the Saiyan's and he only ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
The super saiyan transformation is a form triggered by high levels of stress and anger, think of it as a sort of fight or flight mechanism. However I also believe that the first Super Saiyan was a complete and utter mutation, he, or she passed on the genetic mutation to her or his children and ...

Re: I just read the manga from beginning to end for the very first time
I agree about the sense of completion with EoZ and the oddness of trying to fit Super in there. For one thing, in my reading, Vegeta is DONE competing with Goku after the fight with Buu. So his continued rivalry in Super feels tacked on.
For another, I like the idea that Goku was bored out of his ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
et al.
Firstly and simply, it was never NOT head-canon, lol.
And yes, the idea of non-Saiyans turning Super Saiyan WAS an idea in Toriyama's head... because he wrote it in a story. And yes, it was 100% a gag.
As for Freeza's transformations being strictly biological in nature: Clearly ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread

Yeah, the Neko Majin Z comment was a joke, don't worry, lol. But it does show that the idea was floating around Toriyama's head in some fashion...
And my initial point was not that Super Saiyan was JUST a mastered Kaio-Ken, but a Kaio-Ken merged with the Transforming technique Freeza ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
I understand but here's the thing Kaio Ken only requires you to to have a body strong enough to withstand the strain. That's it there is literally no reason for the human's to be incapable of performing the same legendary feat that the Saiyans have accomplished, hell by you're logic Freeza could ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
BoG the movie? That can't be right there since Vegeta manages to make Beerus bleed in it.
Beerus says that Vegeta sure has gotten strong, but that this Ki thing they use to power their attacks doesn't do crap against gods. Later, Vegeta rages out and wounds Beerus with PHYSICAL attacks. Can't ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
Or Toriyama's just bringing a concept in then dropping it immediately afterward. Remember how long charging your attacks and removing weighted clothing mattered?
Besides, Piccolo makes ridiculous strength gains at a much higher rate or comparable one to the Saiyan's until he fuses with Kami. He ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
In general, you mean? Goku and Gohan "trick" their bodies into thinking they are in their natural/base state, allowing Gohan to transform into a Super Saiyan again, while already a Super Saiyan. Hence, Super Saiyan 2.TheUltimateNinja wrote: How do you explain SSJ2 then?

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
But that still doesn't answer anything. Mastering the Kaio Ken technique is something that took ages for Goku ages to do, saying that Saiyan's rule is simply not a suitable answer for that. Especially with the existence of Goten, Trunks, Gohan, Goten and Cabba. Your fan theory, still falls apart ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
I really doubt Piccolo had KK as he would've been stomping the shit out of basically everyone from the Android arc pre-Kami fusion and well into the Boo arc post-Kami fusion if he had it.
It's an interesting theory but it really doesn't hold up under scrutiny, especially since Piccolo's physiology ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
Trunks saw Vegeta go Super Saiyan, Goten saw Trunks. The rest of your post works for me, lol.
That still doesn't explain why Piccolo can't get this hypothetical KK = MSS after fighting Goku for 3 years.
And why it seems to be exclusive to Saiyans. If it's just a mastered version of Kaioken ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
I can already predict that this will be rationalized by saying that the others mastered it by copying Goku, but this argument falls flat on its face instantly since Goten most likely hadn't ever seen a Super Saiyan when he first turned into one at less than 6 years old.
Trunks saw Vegeta go ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
The "Legend" of the Super Saiyan is just that. Goku invents the Super Saiyan transformation as we know it. It is a combination of Kaio-Ken (explaining it being a multiplier) and him trying to copy whatever it is Freeza's ki is doing when he transforms, which Goku has felt him do three times at this ...

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
Now THAT is a good theory!
One that doesn't work because everyone else gets SS after that and they don't know KK.

Re: The General Fan Theory Thread
The Toriyama story KAJIKA takes place in the past of the Dragon Ball world. After the story ends, eventually the hero Kajika, who comes from a culture resembling the Native Americans, finds his way to Korin Tower and eventually becomes it's guardian. His descendants are Bora and Upa.
