I just noticed the Dragon Ball Super episode 1 page lists January 21, 2017 as the debut date for the Bang Zoom dub.

Maybe add that there was a sneak preview on December 17, 2016?

So now that we have threads for the English broadcasts in Canada , Australia , New Zealand and South Africa I would like to dedicate this thread to the Finnish airings of Dragon Ball Z on SubTV.

It was a bit surprising that they turned down Kirby Morrow to return as Goku, who had voiced him for longer than Corlett and Kelamis combined. I guess it was an easier decision to have a new Goku, who had already been recast multiple times, compared to Vegeta, who had been voiced by Drummond for ...

If fans didn't obsess over the driving test episode an argument could be made for Cynthia and Yuzukar as they never even have a cameo again after the filler episode they debut in, although both are in Kakarot.

Its a shame we may never see the Ocean dub of Kai. Brian Drummond's Vegeta voice in the 2010s (based on convention appearances) sounded like a mixture of his traditional performance and Zechs Merquise, so he likely did something similar for Kai.

Just noticed that the Bridge Entertainment singles for the Saban dub had Kanaal 2 (the Belgian channel that aired Dragon Ball Z) and their programming block Cake on the covers, so they must have been available in Belgium as well as the Netherlands. I didn't pre-order the US set (waiting for UK release) but the dubbed OP leaked so some copies must have arrived.

Little known fact nowadays but Brian Drummond was not always well regarded as Vegeta in the eyes (or ears) of fans, and was actually heavily disparaged in the early days of the Dragon Ball Z dub by the pre-Funimation fanbase.

For anyone who was there at the time, were you surprised that over time ...

Update : The German dub is coming August 28th with episodes premiering Monday-Friday at 9:15pm CET

Then on September 25th the episodes will be streamed on RTL+ and Toggo's Website.

There was that one scene where Don Brown seemingly played Vegeta. Maybe because they needed the line recorded quickly and for whatever reason Brian Drummond was unavailable.

Sad to report that Michael Donovan the voice of Roshi in the BLT dub has passed away. He was also a director at the Dick & Rogers / Josanne B. Lovick studio. May he RIP:
