Re: MistareFusion's Dragon Ball Dissection! (Updated 12/31/23!)
@Gaffer Tape Here's a fun fact: as of the Nü Broly movie, the whole Tsufruian thing is essentially retconned in its entirety. Sure, it was always filler, but since we now know that it was Freeza who introduced scouters to the Saiyans, pretty much nothing Kaio told Goku is true anymore, and the Tsufr...

Re: Where would you rank Super perfect cell power relative to SSJ2 Gohan?
Cell being hit by an attack by base vegeta would not have caused any real change to the fight; it's like saying a mosquito biting you caused you to lose the fight. This is incorrect, when we saw Tien do something similar to Semi-Perfect Cell. And if Vegeta's attack did nothing to Cell, then there w...

Re: MistareFusion's Dragon Ball Dissection! (Updated 12/31/23!)
Indeed. I suppose the issue here is that, if you want the Baby arc to have that theme I mentioned, what Baby needs isn't even doubt in his own terms but rather a foil: another Tsufruian who DOES see the good in the modern Saiyans, who also matters to Baby enough to affect him, at least until Baby co...

Then Piccolo Randomly Dies - Dragon Ball Dissection: The Baby Arc Part 19 Dragon Ball Dissection December reaches its conclusion and with it, so too does The Baby Arc! The heroes heroically save everyone from an exploding Earth... and then Piccolo randomly dies. Was he in this story? Yay, I made it...

Thanks for the rundown! I do agree in the large details, yes. Certainly will consider everything later tonight as well.
And trust me, I prefer longer answers over short ones.

Re: One Piece Remake, fans are so lucky...
@Julie You know I've always wondered, and this is the perfect thread for it. Considering you ARE a queer person, what would you be interested in seeing in a DB remake anyway? I'm genuinely curious (and might crip some ideas for the Yabanverse whenever I get around to that). All apologies if you laid...

Re: MistareFusion's Dragon Ball Dissection! (Updated 12/31/23!)
I mean, both are. The normie opinion is that Dragon Ball has bad writing and is the simplest of the big shōnen series due to lacking those wangsty backstories and flashback pr0n and overt magic/power systems. And considering how much of a mess Dragon Ball's plot is...yeah, that's hard to argue again...

Re: A new Budokai Tenkaichi has been announced
Considering 'largest roster in the series' seems to be a lock for the game, my other main hope is that we get a fun story mode. Something akin to Tenkaichi 2, though with more cinematic elements. Flying around the world looking for fights and searching for dragon balls was always fun back in the da...

Re: A new Budokai Tenkaichi has been announced
That's .... weird. I honestly don't know in what way would a DBS Tien be different from a DBZ Tien in terms of moves and abilities. Likely the main difference is he's wearing his hanfu rather than his original gi. https://i.imgur.com/zSqTozW.jpg In terms of moves and abilities? I mean, they can BS ...

Re: One Piece Remake, fans are so lucky...
What the fuck does capitalism have to do with Dragon Ball? capitalism is why dragon ball super was greenlit only three months before it aired, and fucked over one of Toei Animation's best directors from the very beginning. hell, capitalism is why a producer (pretty sure it was Hayashida) blamed vet...

Re: A new Budokai Tenkaichi has been announced
New Saikyo Jump scan, nothing new aside from some extra screenshots, but it does reiterate (again) that the game is going to have a bigass roster. Bamco REALLY wants people to know this game is going to have a bigass roster. https://i.imgur.com/p5NenMq.jpg Good. Tenkaichi is not the technical Fight...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I will say this: Considering how everyone usually gravitates towards Zangya, making her the most sympathetic character of the gang, seeing it happen to Bujin in DBM is interesting. Which's a little funny since Zangya was just as psychotic as the rest of Bojack's group, but then again so was Bujin.....

I mentioned this in a YouTube comment but I don't know if you brought it up yet (I'll certainly watch the new review later) But two things about SS4: 1: I always found it somewhat neat that the design for the hair kind of harkens back to the unknown primitive Saiyans. https://i.imgur.com/rWUXpSj.png...

A few thoughts: 1: OH MY GOD, I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT 2: God, the sheer rapturous joy from all the fans, it's infectious. Look up "Tenkaichi 4 reaction mashup" on YouTube. Just beautiful. You know, for a game that most people agree is generally like a 7 to 8/10, it's amazing how important...

Re: MistareFusion's Dragon Ball Dissection! (Updated 3/6/23!)
Yeah, my opinion might be unpopular, but the fuzzy transition into the Baby arc is my favorite part of GT, just because it feels like a mystery accidentally being unraveled. It's just an interesting derailment in general, and the fact Baby starts out almost as another villain of the week but becomes...

Re: Joe Rogan interviews Lord Frieza
Certainly is neat, though personally I prefer using AI to create original voices. Copying voices without consent or at least licensing is a bit, eh, sleazy to me. But, eh, knowing what I know about AI and machine learning, this is still real primitive compared to what's in the labs.

Re: A new Budokai Tenkaichi has been announced
Do you guys think they'll recreate the whole BT3 roster? Or it'll be more of a Raging Blast scenario where there's only a select amount of characters Oh you just KNOW that there's going to be a relatively robust but limited number of characters and all the really good ones will be DLC. We're way pa...

Re: A new Budokai Tenkaichi has been announced
I almost wasted money on a Xenoverse 2 commission to add a modded character in.
Screw that. Screw everything about that. The new Tenkaichi game? All the mods. ALL the mods. It'd better keep the game feel of the PS2 games especially.
