Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Goku gave him a Senzu to let Vegeta defuse Moro and 7-3 and the just kill Moro, while allowing 7-3 back to prison.

Re: So is this whole Moro arc basically the, "Garlic Jr. saga" of Super?

The difference is that 1- it was a weekly manga, so you could get away with a few pacing issues. 2- There were none of the fake out finals that we're currently getting with Moro. First it seemed that Vegeta would get the final fight, then Merus, then Goku, and now someone else is up. With Namek, we...

Re: Do you still enjoy non-canon Dragon Ball content?

I think it's simple why people care about what's canon and what's not. If a concept is canon then it can be expanded upon in the future and it lends itself to speculation and discussion. If it's not, then discussing it as it pertains to the continuation of a series is pointless as no one cares. It h...

Re: How much do you care to see/learn from the other universes?

I want to see more of the Universe 6 Saiyans.
The Universe 9 collapse would be interesting to explore.
With how strong Universe 11's top dogs are and since they're superheroes, a villain appearing there that challenges them makes sense.

Re: Toriyama "forgetting" Launch was the best thing that could've happened to her

I think the place she would have really had any way of appearing would have been the Goku Black arc. She could've been the old leader of the human rebellion in the future, or weapons expert, or something. Mai would have been her second in command and successor.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread

Why would he need more time ? he hasn't done anything since turning in Broly's script in 2017. I doubt he needs half the time he's gotten much less more for whatever lame script he's (maybe) working on. Toriyama turned 65 this year so they have to respect their elders and give him as much time as h...

Re: There's always room for more strong guys in other universes

Vegeta would have been the second strongest mortal after Freeza in his Great Ape form. He was stronger than Ginyu even, Freeza's second in command. The next guys would be Cold and Freeza, who are pretty close together in power, though Freeza is probably stronger anyway. These characters never really...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I'm glad there's a discussion about the anatomy problems when it comes to DragonBall characters in the manga of 'Super' lots of people have point out that Toyotaro has a lot of problems (from tracing/paying too many homages to the way he draws fights/Anatomy) I noticed that if you point these flaws...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

The guy is 42, has been drawing manga professionally for almost 10 years, 5 of which have been in Super. He's not that good and will probably only become marginally better, as long as he works under Toriyama. Once he decides he's out of the supervising job, well, that's it for Toyo. I like Toyotaro...

Toriyama undeniably has the experience and the magic touch that Toyotaro just doesn't have... yet. There's always time. Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

I'm pretty sure in the manga it's turning Super Saiyan Blue on again after turning it off that causes the massive drain which allowed Hit to wreck Vegeta, not actually staying in the form. Of course there is drain, but it's surely not the massive one it's made out to be by @DragonWukong. Completed S...

Re: DB is not better than DBZ

The difference in writting alone makes any Z fight deeper than any non-Z fight.
You keep saying this, but this means nothing. Give examples of HOW they are better written and I might take you seriously.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

This chapter made me worried the arc won’t be adapted. Moro stabbing Goku is a pretty big fucking deal and an important part of the story. And Moro’s stab is basically one of his signature moves. But I am afraid the anime wouldn’t be allowed to show any of the stabbing scenes, except for the one on...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

You know, I never really cared to see this arc animated, as I don't find it noteworthy in the large scheme of things... but with how terrible the Ressurection of F story has been in Super and this whole climax feeling a lot like that arc's (or it's entire story to be more precise) I kinda want it an...

Re: DB is not better than DBZ

I think saying that Z's fights are deeper than the original's is a fucking joke. There are great fights in Z and the majority are the ones pre-Cell arc, basically pre-Super Saiyan. Jackie Chun vs Goku is an incredible fight, full of twists and turns, storywise it has everything on the line. The dram...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Considering Vegeta trained with this ability by using it on the Yardratians and everybody has Spirit, not just Ki, this doesn't mean the technique is only good for Moro. It will probably work on anyone, but it's just very effective here. Androids probably don’t have spirit, so this fusion will like...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

That design looks wack. It should've just been young Moro with maybe 7-3's headball thing and the black eye outlines. Or just young Moro, like when Semi-Perfect Cell returned as Super Perfect Cell but with the same design.

Chapter sounds cool though, can't wait to read it!
