Was Goku holding back as a SS2 against Majin Vegeta?
At this point in the series Goku has already reached SS3, a form so difficult to achieve that it has only been attainable (non-fused) in the afterlife. Goku stated himself that it took him several years just to reach it. Up to now there hasn't been any evidence that the form was granted through some...

How would you have setup the climax of the Cell Saga
From time to time I read that people were discontent on how Gohan reached SS2 thus defeating Cell. One of the common reasons being that he barely knew 16 nor developed a deep relationship as opposed to the other characters to become so emotionally enraged. Having Piccolo or Goku die would probably b...

Yeah for me personally I think a better title would've been, "Why is it so hard to make the series good post-Cell?".DBZAOTA482 wrote:The series started to become wack even as far as the Majin Boo Saga.

Re: What if - Goku had spoken earlier about RoSaT
If they simply used the RoSaT to get an extra year of tougher training, they'd probably be strong enough to defeat the Androids (perhaps even 16) when they debuted. Probably 1st-stage Cell too, since he'd never get to absorb the Android twins and transform. But without the beatdown they actually re...

Re: Stupidest action by a character?
I have ssj2 Vegeta and ssj3 Goku>Buuhan in terms of power level. I know people will disagree but that how I feel. If it was Gokuvs buuhan alone he'd go ssj3 and win, assuming we take away his feelings of saving the others, and vegeta only efed up thanks to goku blinding him with rage. also toei has t...

What villain are you referring to for point #2? Super Buu was far above Goku and Vegeta at that point.LSSJGODSSJ4Gogeta wrote:The dumbest thing vegeta ever did was go Majin or Fuse with Goku to beat a villain GOku can kill himself.

All decisions made by Goku during the Buu arch, but more in more in particular, sparring with Fat Buu & Kid Buu instead of going for the kill.

Re: Did Goku turn into a SSJ2 in the beam struggle against B
There's no indicator that he did. What we see in the scene is the typical swept back look that his hair has whenever he's firing a Kamehameha, which always pulls a few of the bigger "chunks" of hair away from his forehead. http://i.imgur.com/4g4uve6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IHvjhRQ.jpg Whil...

Re: Why didn't King Yemma send anyone down in the FT timelin
In the case of Majin Buu, that creature destroyed planet after planet in the past, and endangered the entire universe. I mean, he's the Kaioshin's greatest enemy! I know its a stretch but couldn't the same be said about the same about the Saiyans? I guess the main difference being how quick in succ...

Re: Why didn't King Yemma send anyone down in the FT timelin
Why would King Yemma care about Earth? Dating back to the Saiyan Saga Yemma not only let Goku keep his body but also granted Kami's request for him to train with King Kai. On top of this, Saiyans have been destroying planets for years. With all that being said, Yemma must care a bit about earth for...

Why didn't King Yemma send anyone down in the FT timeline?
I always found it strange the Yemma never intervened while the androids decimated the earth during the Future Trunks timeline. I'd imagine with enough training in the Other World, at least one of the Z-Warriors would eventually get sent down as did Vegeta in the Buu Saga. The only reason I could thi...

Thanks. Do you have the link to the thread?B wrote:Go read the Wuxia thread; there's a nice big chunk about this around the beginning. The majority of the first page is essentially summarizing Goku's major inspirations.

Re: Strange how distant the Z-Warriors & Co. are during peac
It's called real life. Stuff gets in the way of hanging out with friends. I don't see how this is a valid point in the slightest. Dragon Ball is not real life. it would be pretty easy for characters to visit each other even in the small free time they have since they can teleport and fly at super s...

Strange how distant the Z-Warriors & Co. are during peace
One thing that never sat well with me was how distant the Z-Warriors are outside battle. Whether it be times of peace or just large time gaps in general they literally lose all forms of communication with each other. I use three instances: Training for the androids, post Cell Saga, post Buu Saga. It...

Re: Could 17 or 18 single handedly power a Spirit Bomb?
#17 already gave his power. It was a normal ball like everyone else's. This more or less proves he couldn't power a good spirit bomb though. Even with #17's energy, Goku still needed Mr. Satan's help. And, like Kamiccolo9 was saying, that energy came from #17's organic structure, not some mechanica...

Could 17 or 18 single handedly power a Spirit Bomb?
Being that the two are androids and have an unlimited source of energy, hypothetically speaking could either of them be enough to power a Spirit Bomb? More in particular the Super Spirit Bomb used against Buu. If so would it take longer to generate as opposed to Earth's group effort? I figured if th...

Re: Super Buu's voice change
Speaking of change, in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, when Super Buu told Gotenks to punch him in the face his eye color changed from white to red/black. What was up with that? Apparently the white colour in his eyes was a mistake and it's at the point you mention, that he switches permanently from w...

Re: Super Buu's voice change
Gohan even makes a point of noting how much more fluently he talks after absorbing Piccolo. That said, even though his pattern changes, he doesn't really talk much like Piccolo. Piccolo may be smart and all, but he's never especially articulate or prone to fancy speeches. In Japanese he uses the sa...

Re: Super Buu's voice change
I'm fairly certain there's a change in both versions of the show to reflect his absorption of Piccolo and his brains at that point. I had a hunch that may have been the reason. He'd be more articulate after absorbing someone like Piccolo. It's just strange how he adopts such a proper accent after t...

Super Buu's voice change
I noticed around the time Super Buu absorbed Piccolo and Gotenks his voice went from raspy and primitive to proper english, almost reminiscent of Cell. Did they change voice actors at this time or was it a design decision being that Buu had more dialogue amongst the other characters at this point?
