Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal

Doubt it, but if it makes you feel better they started to sell this here Here's the site: https://pt.salvat.com/cole%C3%A7oes/onepiece/#entregas What makes it strange is that there's even a tv ad to it, something really rare nowadays around here when it comes to anime merchandising. For Dragon Ball...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal

I don't think we ever had anything about One Piece movies here. I remember when the list of countries that would screen One Piece Film: Gold was released, Portugal was indeed there which I thought to be a mistake. And it's a fact that the movie didn't hit the theaters here. It's actually strange bu...

It's obvious all dubs opted to give way more mood to Kaio, instead of simply following the relaxed original acting who was clearly affected by his sickness until he was recasted.

Re: Dragon Ball Super multilanguage dub comparisons

Yeah, and another more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Gzt4sLAbbg Does anyone know if Krilin mentions 18 by name in the Portuguese, French and Italian dubs? It seems like the only one who does is the Spanish, "Número 18" (literally Nº 18) while the rest add some other things I can't quit...

Dragon Ball Super multilanguage dub comparisons

Didn't know where to put this since the different dubs have specific threads and this includes many of them at the same time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNhldB6_ghU It's an interesting multilanguage comparison of Dragon Ball Super #1 prologue in Portuguese (Portugal), French, Italian, Spanish (...

Re: Super coming to Spain... controversy included.

Nah, Boing is having pretty good daily ratings with the Dragon Ball Super episodes up to now. They are among the best ones of the channel in fact, even taking into account the massive censorship they have performed and also the fact that these still are the early sagas of Dragon Ball Super we are ta...

Re: Super coming to Spain... controversy included.

You'd better not see what's Boing doing with the censorship of the "Fukkatsu no F" saga. Episodes 22 and 23 have been a cut fest travesty, and for episode 23 they even cut out the previous episode recap completely. It's a shame because the dub quality so far is turning out pretty good, reg...

That sucks, did he say why he is leaving? He didn't point out specifics, but he said in this message that he's "forced to leave this beautiful but mistreated profession" in which he experimented "both happiness and disgrace, sharing good moments with great partners, and suffering in ...

Re: Super coming to Spain... controversy included.

Bad news keep coming for Dragon Ball Super in Spain. Alberto Hidalgo, the voice actor who has always performed the role of Vegeta in Castilian Spanish (except for the very first episodes of Dragon Ball Z when it was performed by the voice actor who later did and still does adult Gohan's voice, Aleja...

Re: Super coming to Spain... controversy included.

I'm glad you have a clean dubbing now... RIP Sangohanda, Hercule, Onda Vital,... and welcome in 2017  We never had "Hercule" in the Spanish version. It was always "Satan" (now it has been readjusted to "Mr. Satan"), even when the episodes were translated from the...

Cure Dragon 255, you should have something like this below the signatures counter.

I had to check it elsewhere, since in my case I have a "share" button instead of a "sign" one, due to already having signed.

How's that a silly petition? If people really want it and support it then I don't see why that should be silly. Especially considering who's carrying it out. Actually, this "one silly anime petition" worked pretty well three years ago. https://www.change.org/p/estreno-dragon-ball-z-battle-...

Re: Catalan dub of DBZ Kai The Final Chapters confirmed

I'm very disappointed that they never dubbed the original Kai series in Castellano (there were rumours it was going to be) so can't expect The Final Chapters either then. :-/ Perhaps you could sign this to help to finally make it happen. https://www.change.org/p/atresmedia-corporaci%C3%B3n-de-medio...

Re: Air date of French DBZ dub? THE (the H-word) CONSPIRACY!

Well, I was under the impression that other European dubs were using it too since a lot of them are based off the French version, but I could be wrong. What did other dubs call him? It's entirely possible that FUNimation took the name from the French dub, I'd just be surprised if that was the case ...

Re: Air date of French DBZ dub? THE (the H-word) CONSPIRACY!

If the French DBZ Wikipedia page is to be believed, the series was brought to France in December of 1990 I don't think it was 1990, it must have been before. Some sources claim it was actually 1988. In Spain, it started to be aired on March 2, 1989 in the regional Andalusian "Canal Sur" c...

March 1992, I was seven. I had already watched the original Dragon Ball prior to this of course.

Re: Resurrection F Box Office - $62.76 million Worldwide

I have the feeling that in the long run, the box office results for FNF in Spain will be better than those of BOG. Besides, Alfa Pictures was pretty happy with the results of the first weekend, being only behind Spectre in most cinemas. With BOG, I remember them being way disappointed and said harsh...
