Re: I need help clearing something up.
That said, the English dub for the Bardock TV special is quite possibly the worst dub that Funimation has produced for any Dragon Ball product, or maybe the worst dub they've ever produced for anything , period. You should take anything you hear in it with a planet-sized hunk of salt, or better yet...

Re: I need help clearing something up.
However, in Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan, it is stated that both Goku and Broly are born on the same day. However, the way that I interpret it, the movie eludes to the destruction of Planet Vegeta occurring later the same day. Wasn't it stated that Goku cried for days, making Broly remember hi...

I don't even think Goku would notice that Frieza lived until North Kaio or some alien refugee informs him.

Re: Biggest retcon in DragonBall?
The King was killed and The Champ now rules. He's alive after the Namek trip & during Mr. Satan's heightened fame (Dragon Ball Chapter 393). As far as I can recall, he only dies when Boo kills humans below the temple. Popo not being an alien. What do you mean by this one? Isn't he introduced as...

I would think so in but only in the land of fanfiction.
We have humans reproducing with extraterrestrial lifeforms in DB so yeah that isn't the best of examples to bring up.Ozotto wrote: This is a terrible real life comparison but a human can't reproduce with an ape, even though we share 96% of our DNA.

Goku being an alien, Piccolo/Kami being an alien, and Popo not being an alien. There was quite a surge in poaching during the two-ish months when everyone was on Namek. Why do you think #17 became a park ranger? I'm quite offended that you could equate a serious issue like poaching with a harmless r...

Re: Namek's Crisis that the Dragon Balls "Supposedly" couldnt fix
If Namek was plagued by such a devastating natural disaster then it would have been hard to go anywhere let alone find the DB's. There were a few warrior Namekians who could fly though With beings like Nail, it shouldn't been too hard to have a Guru-approved expedition to gather the Dragon Balls Na...

Re: At what age do you personally think that someone is old enough to watch Dragon Ball?
Considering the cultural differences between the western world and Japan, it seemed like the original Dragon Ball was intended for kids as young as 3. The sexual jokes are definitely not for children, but neither is the explicit violence. Juveniles are inevitably going to copy what they see on TV, w...

Ideas matter; execution matters more
GT had some poor execution of good ideas, but the ideas themselves should still deserve some attention.

The discussions on this thread remind me of this gem: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29799 where someone made a rather poor argument suggesting that Goku was more popular than Superman I would like to say that both Goku and Superman are just as equally famous worldwide. It's almost...

Re: Will people give up if humans/androids can withstand attacks from Gods/Super Saiyan Blue?
We've already had a bullet draw blood from Krillin and another from a pistol bruise Goku when the same kind of bullet fired from Bulma did a similar job in chapter 1. Not to mention the infamous laser scene. I think it's safe to say that the people who would have quit from the inconsistent power le...

It's still connecting Korin Tower to Kami's Dende's Lookout, but Goku doesn't really need to use it anymore

Re: Is Dragon Ball GT canonical?
A post made on another website or maybe even this one suggested that GT follows the DBZ anime canon, while Super follows the manga canon. Considering that GT included concepts exclusive to the anime such as Tuffles or Goku's fear of needles, and that Super mostly just keeps what was from the origina...
