Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I find it hilarious that people complain about it being an asspull when not only the anime, but even the original manga is full of asspulls & nobody cares. Everyone wants Dragon Ball Super (both manga & anime) to be like One Piece or Naruto, where the whole plot is planned from the start an...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I understand why people are questioning the cellular tidbit in principle, logically it's weird. The problem is your applying - real life - logic to it. We were all perfectly fine with magic earrings that fuse people, which we accepted because a God told us that's what it does. Yet when another God ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I'm also a bit confused about the outrage surrounding Goku (a user of god ki) using the "Hakai" technique. Has Goku ever been one to witness a martial-arts/ki technique and not want to figure out how it's done? Trying to replicate Beerus' skills, interest in becoming a god of destruction ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Does it even make sense that it took Goku a whole night to master a technique which was invented by a human in the low hundreds in terms of PL (Mafuba) yet Goku could effortlessly pull the Hakai, a technique we never knew he saw (and why would Beerus show him?) and we all thought only Hakaishins co...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Fair point. I'm just hoping the manga provide more context for why Goku chose now to use the Hakie-eque technique, instead of when before Merged Zamasu happened, but right now it just seem out of left field. 2 possibilities, either it can only be done with a perfected SSJB at a 100% always or Goku ...

2) I don't care much competitive gameplay, I care about a good DBZ game with a decent Story Mode and having Super Perfect Cell would fit in. Start dropping your hopes because the game is being developed by a studio that makes competitive games, not crowd pleasing fighting games, and a competitive g...

Trying to find some sources to confirm, but if it's indeed true, this game could go big.

Holy shit, my body wasn't ready for this announcement!

I've wanted something like this in my life for years, and it's finally happening! Please don't, fuck it up Ark Sys, that's all I ask for.

Re: Things that grind your gears

Chi-Chi was fine in the Boo arc but Super's kind of shat on that whole development of "Yeah... maybe having someone who knows how to fight so more people don't die isn't such a bad thing!" gets reversed harder than DC Rebirths Superman status quo. I guess it's supposed to be her thinking ...

Re: Things that grind your gears

To pretend it doesn't exist would be no different than pretending that pre-Z doesn't exist. A bit extreme there aren't you? It's all part of the original serialization. The new material from Toriyama came 16 years after the original run ended. I don't really see how this is even a comparison to be ...

Re: How would you feel if episode 94 will be "Yamcha, You Are The Last Recruit! Heading to the "Tournament of Power"!"?

I wouldn't like it. Replacing Boo for Yamcha is even dumber than replacing him for Freeza. Wouldn't mind him replacing Tenshinhan, though. Ten kinda sorta works if they were going for the whole "Goku brings a team full of former villains/assholes to fight with him", but then again, Gohan ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread

Trunks THE STORY contradicts that, showing a 14 year old Future Trunks as a Super Saiyan struggling in training against base Future Gohan. Where's the contradiction? Trunks being horribly weak and already having Super Saiyan?
http://i.imgur.com/RZXh4vm.png
Power has seemingly n...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread

Still doesn't change the fact that a 7 and an 8 year old popped into the legendary form with little effort. Not even gohan got it so easily. And he was in the thick of it pretty much all his life. But it is worth noting that Gohan was able to obtain the form in an artificial setting, yes Goku had c...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Brazilian Portuguese Dub

I'm really happy you guys are officially getting your dub but what the else is wrong with the lyric for your opening? The metrics are all over the place. Oh, I think they will re-adapt it again. Maybe it's just a literal translation serving as basis to the studio. I hope so. But since the photo had...

Man I just love how Future Trunks was a spectator in his own arc... Sarcasm aside that bugged the ever living out me he is now more or less a tertiary character in his own arc. No father and son Galick gun but we get a father and son speech instead. I like to think that Toyo is building u...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

What a minute, your premise is false because Goku specifically stated SSG is the form preceding SSB, implying that form MUST be achieved first prior to SSB. Basically stating that Vegeta had SSG at least prior to the first time he went SSB. Doesn't work, otherwise why would Vegeta show Cabba the Bl...

Re: Whats your current rating of Super as of episode 84?

BoG arc - 4/10: So inconsequential it's the one piece of DB media that I probably won't watch again anytime soon. RoF arc - 3/10: Only reason this justifies it's own existence is due to overall better handle of story then it's movie counterpart. Champa arc - 6/10: Nothing special, nothing atrocious....

Re: Super has the right idea, but it doesn't work at this point: strategy's place in battle

Except this is not true. Remember Nappa was only around 4/5000 on the powerscale and everyone was 1200 without even powering up. Piccolo was like a 3500 to Nappa's 4000. That's more than close enough. Same with Frieza vs Piccolo, we have no idea how strong Piccolo actually because after Nail fusion...
