Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

One more thing: wouldn't they be paving the way for MUI? It's the only way for Goku not to die with Vegeta out, and the only loose end, sort of speak. Maybe it will even fail because it seems to be clear that Vegeta will get most of the glory It's very possible we see MUI. Whis did state that Goku ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I mean, in the anime at least, several of the major characters had development in the Universe Survival arc. And Trunks had development in his arc. That and Vegeta developed in the Future Trunks Saga. By his actions, did you really need the anime to stop and tell you that Vegeta was making up being...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse

Daughters don't often show it when their abusive fathers abuse them. They act out in other ways, which could be a combination of doing whatever they can to please their abuser or loudly proclaiming they are their own person while being shitty themselves. The paneling and dialogue here is atrocious ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

No, that happened for other characters observing Vegeta. You understand that other people believing Vegeta did enough to redeem himself doesn't mean Vegeta thinks that, right? You do realize Goku telling him that he was revived by Porunga because Porunga considered him good isn't just magically goi...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Resurrection 'F' did happened and he was confronted by the man who not only blew up his race, but also is basically everything he hates about his past self. Yet, in that moment, Vegeta treated Freeza, a new toy to play with or that annoying guy that came back to life. I agree, Vegeta should've had ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

At least in that case if Gohan dies and Goku decides to go on a quest to revive him, I don't have to hear the "Goku doesn't give a damn about his family." I think Goku at this point needs an arc that completely focuses on him as a character, and one that isn't afraid to look at him on a deeper leve...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

That's why this "too little too late" argument consistently falls short. It doesn't mean anything. Vegeta has a chance to atone for the Namekians now because Vegeta has a chance to atone for the Namekians now . It actually is that simple. This. Some fans are thinking waaaaay too much about this. Th...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Vegeta has been powerless before to stop an evil, namely Black who killed all of humanity without Vegeta being able to stop and then later Zeno erasing that universe from existence. False equivalence. Vegeta not only failed to stop Black and Zeno, he had no way of fixing things for Trunks' timeline...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Vegeta had development in Battle of the Gods when he shed his pride. Goku even compliments him on this. A scene which isn't in either continuity of Super. And regardless, it's still sad that the most development Vegeta has gotten until now is a one-off joke in a movie that predates the series when ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

It feels like you're grasping at straws to make a point when the point doesn't concern the actual plot at all. Of all the things to complain about in regards to modern DB, this isn't one of them. If anything, more fans should be happy that we've finally gotten an arc that focuses on developing one ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

My guy. You literally just tried to pry apart three completely related aspects of a single parallel between two characters in an attempt to downplay them, despite all three of them distinctly contributing to a specific motive involving a specific action. That is the epitome of splitting hairs. If a...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Okay let me explain it again since you don’t get despite others here seeing my point. I saw your point the first time. I'm saying it's a weak argument. Moro killing Namekians for the Dragon Balls is significant not just because it reminds him of his past transgressions, it shoves his own powerlessn...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

They have nothing in common outside of both being evil, wanting Dragon Balls to further their goal, and killing Namekians. "Besides all these things they have in common, they have nothing in common." Gee, it's almost like the best antagonists serve as a catalyst for the protagonist's growth, motiva...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

No build-up? No connection? Both of those were established from the beginning of the arc when Vegeta saw Moro mirror his past actions with his treatment of the Namekians and was utterly helpless to stop it. When I said I didn't want Vegeta to get the win, I specifically clarified that I didn't want...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Vegeta doesn’t say it was natural that they conquered planets to Cabba. He does talk a little about Planet Vegeta’s history and then is quick to reassure Cabba that they don’t conquer planets anymore. So I would argue that shows he cared what Cabba thought. Also yes the narrative never really dealt...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I really do agree that Vegeta in Super is the most overrated thing ever. However, the idea of him attempting to atone for sins isn't a bad one per se just it isn't executed great. However I wouldn't pin this issue solely on the Moro arc, I think him ready to kill Broly is an issue. Broly is a Saiya...
