Re: Vic Mignogna

Fucking hell, court is expensive. Which is why shit like this rarely goes to court & people & companies try to settle out of court. Perfect waste of time & money. Which is why anti-SLAPP laws exist: to discourage people from filing frivolous lawsuits that waste time and money for people who were on...

Re: Vic Mignogna

Sorting out the details via lawtwitter: $238,042.42 is what Vic owes now, ignoring the sanctions that are conditioned on appeal $145,500.00 is the baseline appeal-conditioned sanctions that Vic might already owe simply because Percy is an idiot and he already filed a premature Notice of Appeal (whic...

Re: Vic Mignogna

It's the most efficient way to get rid of all the people who are trolling and harassing them, so there's nothing particularly stupid about it. I've asked Marz to unblock a few people who felt they were blocked by mistake, and she doesn't have a problem doing that. I think she cast a wider net than t...

Re: Vic Mignogna

https://twitter.com/greg_doucette/status/1199054897070706688?s=20 Vic owes $525,542.42 in attorney fees & sanctions. It's all in his hands now. If he calms down, it's finally over. The only way this continues is if he appeals. Huh. I'm blocked by that guy for some reason. Wonder why. He and several...

Re: Vic Mignogna

To clarify, quite a bit of that total is conditional. They only get it if he appeals and loses. If he doesn't appeal, the total is $238042.42 plus court costs (unspecified) and interest (5% per annum from the date of the judgment, today).

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Those raw footage screenshots came from a behind the scenes video on the level sets where they did show it in motion. You can find that video here. https://youtu.be/moAy02J2fd8 The raw footage starts at about 3:15. Now granted, I'm looking at compressed footage on youtube and not the whole untouche...

We've seen these in motion on like special features and such, haven't we?
I might be wrong, but I think everything we have seen has been through the remastering process with grain reduction, except for the still images they have given us.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I will send him a message, I'd say my copy will be in soon enough so I might just check it for myself when it does. Thanks for the screenshot nothing looks too bad there except for the general quality of the release itself. This was just the closest I could come to a nitpick. It was more stark in m...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Someone on the blu ray forums is saying that episode 47-49 look absolutely terrible. Apparently they are enjoying the sets otherwise but those episodes made them wanna skip because of how bad they are. Would anyone be able to take a few screenshots from those episodes? You'll need to ask them to ta...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I only watched one unboxing video (I think it was the first posted here) and he did not show his invoice.

My FedEx tracking is still completely in limbo ("pending").

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

So i just found a link to episode 1 on twitter, it looks about the way i expected, would have liked if the link was the Japanese audio so i could have judged that aswell. But yeah not impressed with the video quality. I would rate it slightly above the season sets but any chance of me buying this i...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Yeah, they only made as many as were ordered, just like the Dragon Boxes. They made the full 6000. They just didn’t allow any orders after the deadline. 750 of the remaining are going to the UK; the rest will be scalped at cons. Link?? Here's the announcement where MangaUK said they got 750. Seeing...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Why are people paying $800 on eBay if they didn't even sell out? Or did Funi only make the orders and not the total 6000? Yeah, they only made as many as were ordered, just like the Dragon Boxes. They made the full 6000. They just didn’t allow any orders after the deadline. 750 of the remaining are...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Someone settle an argument. Anyone remember how many preorders of this abomination of a release the counter hit before the preorder period ended? I don't remember them hitting much passed 4,500, yet I've got someone saying they saw it hit 6,000. I remember the counter slowly counted down for the in...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

idk, I don't use eBay much, and when I do, it's always at the "buy now" price. I don't do auctions; I don't have the patience or the instincts for that shit. So there's an auction on the $500 set, $500 just being an open bid. No one has bid; no one is watching. Seller appears to ship only to the US,...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Just checked and a few have gone for $800 but the majority are around the $600 range. I'm convinced that most of those listings were from the same person who probably only has one set and they're making high listings and "selling" them to themselves to keep the asking price high. It doesn't make a ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

So Toei had serious plans, but now Super as TV series is probably dead. idk how anyone could read aj's post and get that from it " However on July 31st 2019, after reaching out, a staff member said: "I don't know when the new series will release, but maybe next year. As far as I know, there's no Dr...
