Re: Episode #0487 (25 December 2020)
Such a fun podcast to record. Hope everyone enjoys listening as much as I had fun discussing. My fantasy laugh track version was better. I've been looking forward to this one! Really enjoyed hearing everyone's thoughts, and I'm glad the gang seemed to enjoy it for the most part. Thanks everyone for...

Re: Episode #0483 (26 July 2020)
Sorry for zombie-posting in this thread when we have a new podcast out but I kinda only vaguely knew that there was a subforum here for discussing podcasts and it somehow never occurred to me to check it after episodes I was on so I am also sorry for being late. Great discussion with Terez about the...

Re: What's that BGM in the Japanese version? Read the OP!
I'm sure giving him a leitmotif just had to do with introducing this one demon as "this guy is significant and will be the main threat to Goku and Kuririn for the next ten minutes". And in fact, it shows up in at least three cues: There's one that was unused in the movie but was tracked just once i...

Re: What's that BGM in the Japanese version? Read the OP!
I (mostly) finished movie 2 and I was thinking about this note: After all these years, while doing this renewed documentation I got the feeling that those few seconds we hear of M428: The Murk Kraken Eats Gasuteru might actually just be the tail end of a much longer cue, one that was mostly dialed o...

Re: Download the unreleased Kikuchi tracks here
M2 question for Zestanor: did you decide that the track that kenisu calls "Lucifer's End" is in fact M441-1? I just gave it a quick 2-bar-at-a-time comparison and I'm not seeing any daylight, so I might be inclined to agree with that, but surely kenisu had a reason for calling it M441-2...? (I will ...

Re: What's that BGM in the Japanese version? Read the OP!
I'm wildly speculating, but based on what I know about other productions, I imagine what happened was, for each TV-based session, he was probably given a "music menu" of the kinds of cues the producers would need from him -- like an action cue, a sad cue using a new character's theme, etc. That's m...

Re: What's that BGM in the Japanese version? Read the OP!
Source music is the industry term for music in a film that the characters can hear (diegetic music). This can *sometimes* take the form of stock, but I've always been under the impression the aerobics cue from Sleeping Princess is indeed Kikuchi. Ah, that makes sense; I don't think you used that te...

Question for kenisu: on the DB M2 documentation, you put "(source)" under Roshi's aerobics video music. What did you mean by that? I don't see anything about it in the notes. Are you questioning whether those two tracks were written by Kikuchi?

Re: Download the unreleased Kikuchi tracks here
I am back with the Fortuneteller Baba Saga, which might actually have some useful stuff in it! The Disc 1 Episodes menu has a string of 4 tracks: "An Unusual Dessert" + M114 + "Centipede of the Future" + "Attack of the Sabre-Tiger". The Tiger one sounds a little clearer to me than your rip, but you ...

Re: New Complete M400 Unreleased / released link
I haven't studied M2 yet; I'm about to get to work on it today, but earlier I was looking for something else and I browsed through your rips and noticed that the piece you classified as " M410 " (which is different from kenisu's classification for "M410", which you and Zestanor both just lumped in w...

Re: Download the unreleased Kikuchi tracks here
For Angry Blue I wonder if that would cover up the voices in my rip. Sadly no! It's almost comical how it skips completely over that part. But I will continue recording all the saga sets' unreleased BGM so there are no mysteries. Moving on to Commander Red, which uses the exact same music for each ...

Moving on to the General Blue Saga. The D1 Episodes menu has "Red Ribbon Strategy" + A9. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YEuZsuhnB8LOSIe-x97n25iEoDEPeyYe/view?usp=sharing The D1 Language menu has "Up To No Good" from Dr. Slump. I was worried about this one; it sounds like it could fit in with the R...

Okay, here is a better recording of Murasaki: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YdzKrPt7IA4Hrrw_gh6HAqTeyg-wHw1w/view?usp=sharing That's the full track. After that it loops. Also here's the weird cut of "Enemy Has the Upper Hand": https://drive.google.com/file/d/1crwQ4Jiyzy9jzM6jHa2AcTewrI73ZpA7/view...

Re: Download the unreleased Kikuchi tracks here
That one unfortunately lacks the ending. The sound is a lot more mellow than your rip in general, but it's especially noticeable in the sax. This screen record is better than the other one which I might redo later. That was like the 2nd time I have ever used OBS and this was the 3rd: https://drive.g...

Re: Download the unreleased Kikuchi tracks here
All the saga and season DVDs have Kikuchi BGM on the menus. Some of them are cut really strangely (like, even more strangely than this one was cut), but there are a few unreleased ones. "Ninja Murasaki" is one of my favorite BGM, though (in terms of composition and performance) so I got excited abou...

Re: Download the unreleased Kikuchi tracks here
Hello again! This might be common knowledge, and if so I apologize, but "Ninja Murasaki" is on the DVD Extras menu for Disc 1 of the Funimation RRA single release, and it might serve to patch the worst of the sfx in your rip? There's some lingering voices that it won't cover, though. https://www.you...

Re: For the Kikuchi's OST lovers - Can we all Assume that M249 and M250 are the same track?
I figured out that Makafushigi Adventure was in H19 a long time ago, A3-A11 aren't the only cues containing the song in the A-J Set, there are other tracks with arrangements of it too, the previously mentioned "I20" also is a variant. I asked some friends a while back whether they thought I20 was a...

For the record, I am not a translator, though I have done typesetting and subtitling work for translators and organized a few projects. (I feel obligated to point this out every time someone mistakes me for a translator, which happens quite often. My Twitter bio even says "Monolingual.") I have been...

Bless you so much for going through this 70-page thread. That was what I was trying to avoid, hoping someone would just have a list handy. Thank you!
