Re: Vic Mignogna

Actually the MeToo movement has ALSO reached Japan! In much less spectacular fashion but it has. Read this article on Hiroko Konishi and all she had to suffer. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2019-02-13/voice-actress-hiroko-konishi-shares-her-metoo-story/.143311 This is why I will never w...

Re: Vic Mignogna

So now the I Stand With Vic people think Chris Sabat is solely responsible for getting Vic uninvited to Kameha Con (ignoring the fact that he has been uninvited to most Conventions) so now a bunch of people are angry at Chris on Twitter It’s still hilarious but also sad that so many people think th...

Re: Is Dragon Ball cynical at its core?

Nope, it isn't. I fail to see how it could be cynical in any way. DB is very optimistic. It's not like Watchmen or some film noir. It might not be idealistic, but that doesn't mean it's cynical.

Re: From 1-10, How would you rate the Funimation Dub so far?

I haven't really watched the dub aside from a few clips, but considering Funimation has gone back to the way they used to write the scripts, by having some characters saying out of character stuff like Vegeta calling Bulma babe, Goku telling Goten that he's training in order to keep them safe or Goh...

Re: I don't get "Wuxia" from the Kikuchi score

And while Dragon Ball Classic wasn’t afraid to use Mystical Adventure as a motif, particularly for Goku, Dragon Soul instrumental seemed to play once an episode just so you didn’t forget what the opening sounded like. One of my (many) big problems with Kai was this. Dragon Soul would easily top my ...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming...

While I like the Saban dub for what it is, I disagree that all of the performances were fantastic. Tenshinhan and Master Roshi were really bad. Hopefully they get a VA with an actual aged voice for Roshi instead of a guy in his 20's or 30's doing his best old man impression. And Brendan Hunter bette...

Re: Vic Mignogna

A documentary about Funimation would be cool, but they'll probably ignore that Funi got DB because of nepotism.

Re: Vic Mignogna

hell, for a while there, I don't think there was a single product out of FUNimation that didn't have his voice in it somewhere, along with Laura Bailey's. Still mind-blowing to me that she did kid Chi-Chi's voice! She does have this little thing called versatility. I sometimes wish she would have p...

Re: Vic Mignogna

I'm having a perfectly fine day. It just annoys me when people feel the need to tell me things I already know. Then explain me this, does Sega care about this allegations. How am I supposed to know? And it's not like it will be a big loss if Mignogna doesn't voice Omega anymore. He's basically disp...

Re: Vic Mignogna

I prefer Nozawa, but being so harsh on Schemmel is just uncalled for. He does a fine job. As for Vic, the role of Broly is mostly just screaming so there's really not much to say about how he does it. I've also only watched a few episodes of the dubbed FMA anime (the old one, back when it was on Ad...

Re: Vic Mignogna

Finding a passable VA replacement for Broly shouldn't be hard. Liam O'Brien would be great.
