Re: Did anyone else found the ToP Android 17 forced and unappealing?

Gohan's getting back into shape and going further was shown and wasn't just layed on us. So what? It's still lame. Gohan got his mojo back so fast one can't help but wonder how he lost it in the first place. Makes this whole Roshi berating Gohan for slacking off that much stupider since all that Go...

Re: Favorite characters?

1) Future Trunks, Because he's a pretty unique character in the world of Dragonball, and you know that when he appears things are about to get serious. Also the most HUMAN character emotionally wise, intelligent and to the point. It's also a good thing that he isn't the strongest of the (half) Saiya...

Re: Characters you wish were completely removed from Super/sequels

I saw that video too and I see where Mark was going but I think he mishandles his points. For one, a flat character is only as interesting as the world they inhabit. They often heavily rely on other characters around them to keep the story interesting. To a degree Dragon Ball has always been like t...

Re: Characters you wish were completely removed from Super/sequels

Earth (Sans Bulma), Trunks, Goten, Gohan and Piccolo are not as marketable outside "funny MemeZ" as I would love them to be. That's only because Toriyama-san doesn't give them any exciting developments. Gohan was THE most popular character at one point and Piccolo's always been close to the top of ...

Re: Do We Have Any Indication Of Android 18 Actually Getting Stronger Since The Androids Saga?

Probably but not to any serious degree like her brother. With this series, I think it’s safe to assume everyone trains regularly unless they say otherwise (like Gohan) or have undergone special, exceptional training (like 17...or Gohan). I must have missed something, I only watched the Anime and di...

Re: ToP Arc: The Worst and most boring Arc of Super so far?

The ToP is everything wrong with modern dragonball. It's actually disgusting at how bad it is and how shoddily executed it is. Please note: dumbass power level arguments do not bother me. "X shouldn't be able to scratch Y" should not even be an argument in Super considering how bad and inconsistent...

Re: What would you rate DBS out of 10?

7/10

It had some great moments opposed to being horrible at times, so I'll stay neutral.

I didn't like the animation style of Super however, main characters look weak and childish most of the time in comparison with the animation style of DBZ.

Re: Going back to Adventures in the franchise

I feel that they kinda reached a bit of a dead end here, The main characters are now so ridiculously powerful they can basically pull any solution to a problem out of their asses.

Oh how I miss the old days, where the protagonists were the weaker underdogs and death still had any meaning. :(

Re: Vegeta’s role in the upcoming movie.

Vegeta's role? To get jobbed and bodied so the villain appears more threatening. Also so Goku can look even more badass when he finally kills Broly with UI. Second fiddle will always be second fiddle no matter what toriyama or toei say to hype him and his fanbase up. Yup, Vegeta will play second fi...

Re: So; has anyone else thought about how ridiculously lucky the Z fighters have been overall?

you see, it isn't luck it is plot armor! This! Any reality where Goku is alive or involved it will always have heaps of this. Except in the time-line of Future Trunks of course, where everything that could go wrong... actually happened. Goku died. Gohan died. The Z fighters all died. No more Dragon...

Re: Future Trunks Arc vs Universal Survival Arc

Definitely the Zamasu saga. Why?....because it had tension and character building, not to mention story building. It wasn't perfect of course but it was still waaaay better than the TOP in my humble opinion. That was just dumb fighting for the sake of fighting, you would think that they weren't figh...

Re: Has Super impacted your opinion on GT at all?

You and me both. I've started re-watching GT in Japanese this time and even skipped the really bad episodes (6-15) and it's still a chore to get through. When some of the most popular main characters become a chore to watch, it proves that something went wrong along developing these characte...

Re: Did the anime's TOP feel like a spectacle to you?

I don't have nice things to say about the anime TOP as a narrative. But was it a spectacle? Yeah, I'd say so due to its greatly improved art and animation from the other arcs. If you don't give a damn about narrative and all you want is fights, this arc is for you. If this is the case, this was def...

Re: New developments for Caulifla and Kale

As long as it is character development instead of them showing off how may colours and forms their hair can turn into I'll be fine with them reappearing every now and then in the future.

Characters who are so over-empowered for no damn reason quickly lose my interest on the long haul.

Re: What I think made the Future Trunks arc ending bad

After looking at the Eng Dub ending of the arc it finally clicked as I was watching it. It wasn’t the grim or darkness. It wasn’t Deus Ex Machina (because objectively it was a Chekhov’s gun that Zeno Button) it wasn’t the alternate timeline Trunks went to. It’s not the Sword of Hope Trunks pulled. ...

Re: Has Super impacted your opinion on GT at all?

I mean maybe, but it overall has to do with the expectations built up, Uub was supposed to be a successor, he should have at least been strong enough to hold of Great Ape Baby after fusing with Buu, and actually able to do something with the other villains. Then there’s Pan, Goten, and Trunks, I wa...

Re: Has Super impacted your opinion on GT at all?

It still depresses me to know what will become of some of my favourite characters in the future of GT. Piccolo ended up saving earth by giving up his life which is more than he did in Super. True, but in Super he had more slice of life moments which I liked, in GT he had limited screen time. Buu fu...

Re: Has Super impacted your opinion on GT at all?

They both had their good and bad moments, so no ...not for me. I like Super more than I do GT because the side characters in Super get more action. In GT many characters are forgotten it seems and that's what I disliked so much about the show. It still depresses me to know what will become of some o...

Exceeded expectations Definitely 17 , I expected him to do well but not that he would ultimately win the tournament in the end. :D Freeza , because he was a wild card never quite knowing If he'll help or stab you in the back made him enjoyable to watch. Roshi , showed why he is a master genius when...

Re: Did Gohan suck in the Tournament of Power?

I guess he didn't do all too bad in the TOP, if you take into account that he hasn't been seriously fighting for a while before that. Of course because of that he can't be on a top tier level like Goku, Vegeta Toppo Jiren and all the other god tier fighters. Gohan is still srsly strong even though i...
